10 year Britannia partnership gives Everton £1.1 million boost
Britannia and Everton Football Club are marking the 10th anniversary of their partnership this weekend (30 October).
The decade-long collaboration has raised more than £1.1 million for the Toffees through Britannia savings accounts and mortgages linked to the Club.
Britannia, part of The Co-operative Bank, is celebrating the anniversary at Everton’s next home game against Stoke City this Saturday (30 October) with a competition for fans.
Richard Davis, Relationship Manager at Britannia, said: “We have enjoyed a lucrative partnership with Everton over the past 10 years, which has been financially rewarding for both Britannia and the Club.
“The collaboration has allowed us to grow our customer base through the association with the Club, while Everton has benefited from the ongoing monetary contribution Britannia makes from its Club-linked savings accounts and mortgages.”
Britannia now has nearly 10,000 customers with savings accounts or mortgages linked to the Premier League side.
It makes an annual bonus payment to the Club of up to one per cent of the daily average balance held in Everton ‘Save and Support’ accounts and cash ISAs, as well as making one-off payments on every mortgage completed.
Robert Elstone, CEO at Everton Football Club, said: “We are delighted to be celebrating our 10th anniversary with Britannia, and look forward to working with the bank to expand and develop the financial products we can offer our supporters in the years ahead.”
The 10th anniversary competition winner will receive a shirt signed by the Blues’ number 10, Mikel Arteta, as well as two exclusive tickets to the Sponsors’ Lounge at the Stoke game. Six runners up will also win two tickets each to the Sponsors’ Lounge. Fans can also win the chance to take part in a trolley dash at Club store Everton Two in Liverpool.
