Opening date for The Co-operative Food's new Inverness stores

December 09, 2013

Two new Co-operative food stores in Inverness, which have between them created around 40 new jobs, will open on Thursday 12, December.

The two stores, one on Wester Inshes Road and the other at Monarchs View, Milton of Leys, will be officially opened by youngsters from nearby schools Inshes Primary School and Milton of Leys Primary School.

Both convenience stores will be around 2,000 sq ft, and will offer shoppers a wide range of fresh and chilled products, The Co-operative’s premium Truly Irresistible range, and delicious ready meals.

Customers will also be able to select from extensive wine ranges, and enjoy items from the in-store bakeries. Both stores will have cash machines and customer car parks, while the Milton of Leys outlet will also have self-scan tills.

Michael Boylan, The Co-operative Food’s Operations Manager for Inverness, said: “We know Inverness residents are passionate about their food and our new Co-operative food stores will certainly reflect this. The stores will be packed with modern and interesting meal ideas that, while quick and easy to put together, are sure to impress. Together with great offers, customers will be able to effortlessly create fabulous-tasting meals for themselves and their family and friends.

“We are thrilled to be opening the doors of our new stores, and as a community retailer we are delighted that neighbouring schools are playing a central role in the openings.”

Opening hours of both stores will be 7am until 10pm every day.
