The Co-operative Food invests £475,000 to transform Llandaff North store
The Co-operative Food store on Station Road, Llandaff North, is set to be transformed following a £475,000 investment that will create six new jobs and a new shopping experience for customers.
The Station Road store has been redesigned around an appreciation of good food, wine and modern cuisine. Alongside an increased range of Truly Irresistible products, there will be improved ranges of fresh and chilled produce, and a wider choice of ready meals. Together with great offers, customers will be able to effortlessly create fabulous-tasting meals.
As part of its commitment to serving local communities, The Co-operative Food’s investment will bring a brighter store with a more shopper-friendly layout, new self-serve tills, a refurbished in-store bakery, a Costa Coffee machine and a food-to-go.
Shoppers will benefit from an improved range of “free from”, wholefood and Fairtrade products. Shoppers will also be able to enjoy selecting a bottle of wine, from the increased range of fine wines, to accompany their meals.
Mark Selby, Store Manager at the Llandaff North store, said: “Local residents are passionate about their food and our new-look Co-operative food store will certainly reflect this. The store will be packed with great-value quality products and modern and interesting meal ideas that, while quick and easy to put together, are sure to impress.
“Our products will reflect that The Co-operative is the leading supermarket supporter of Fairtrade, and is committed to sourcing British products where possible. We know our shoppers lead busy personal and professional lives, and my dedicated and knowledgeable store team will be on hand to help customers and make recommendations so they can get the most out of their visits to our store.”
The new-look store will open on Thursday 12 September
