The Co-operative Food win Fresh Flower Retailer of the Year 2015
The Co-operative Food has won ‘Fresh Flower Retailer of the Year 2015’ at the prestigious Retail Industry Awards held last night (Thursday 24th September). The awards, now in their 20th year, recognise the very best in UK retailing.
Beating off competition from other major retailers, the win recognises The Co-operative Food’s continuing investment in the cut flower and horticulture category. A long term commitment to stocking 100% Fairtrade Roses alongside investment in packaging, store flower fixtures and a growing Seasonal offering have all contributed to the success of this category.
With an ambition of becoming the UK’s number one convenience retailer, The Co-op’s 2700 stores are perfectly placed in communities to provide customers with fresh, good quality, colourful flowers at a great price.
Nicky Proudlock, Buyer for Co-operative Food, says:
“This award recognises all of the all the hard work everyone in the team has undertaken to deliver a great fresh flower range for our customers. Quality is key for The Co-operative and the investment we have made to support fresh flower quality in the stores has meant business is ‘blooming’.”
