New Year resolution - no will power required

December 30, 2011

Whilst many New Year resolutions require will power in order for them to succeed, here’s one easy to make resolution that just needs the will.

As people take stock of their lives at the start of 2012, one resolution you can make – and very easily keep - is arranging a Will.  It’s something many of us know we should do and The Co-operative Legal Services is predicting a surge in its telephone-based Will writing services as we see in the New Year.

Ian Mackie, Director of Sales and Marketing at The Co-operative Legal Services said: “Many people see the New Year as a time to get their affairs in order and one way to do that is to write a Will. It’s something that once it’s done you know it’s in place protecting your family and loved ones.  And as a resolution it’s an easy one to keep!

“It is a sobering fact that as many as one in three die without setting out their requirements in a Will.  Some think that it’s something to put off until later in life, or assume that their wishes will be carried out because they’ve been discussed with family. Unfortunately that’s not the case and the only way to be certain that your property and possessions go to the right people is to write a Will.

“The Co-operative’s Will Writing Service is really straightforward and easy to use.  A Will writing expert will help and advise you so you know everything is done correctly, and quotes are provided up-front so you know where you stand.  Will writing costs start at just £125 including VAT, and it only takes about 45 minutes to complete a simple Will over the telephone. That small investment in time and money will help protect the future of loved ones and give you complete peace of mind.”
