Calling all young filmmakers!

03/05/2013 by Green Schools

Do you know any budding young filmmakers who would be interested in this fantastic opportunity?

Young people have until Friday 31 May to get their entries in to our annual festival and be in with the chance of seeing their film premiere on the big screen!

This year the festival will be held in partnership with Bradford’s award-winning National Media Museum from 17-19th July.

The festival is free and open to all young people, aged 22 or under.

Entries to the festival, which is now in its 47th year, should be no more than six minutes long and will be viewed and selected by a panel of film and media professionals.

There are no categories to limit the imagination and film-makers are encouraged to tackle issues that interest them; through drama or documentary, animation or comedy, music video or silent movie.

Not only will film-makers get to see their work on-screen at this major national venue, they will also have the opportunity to learn about exciting film techniques, and receive feedback on their film.

Whether entering with a school or college, a film club or drama group, or just with a group of friends, the festival is primarily a celebration of young people’s creative talents.
