Emma our competition winner

We’d like to congratulate Emma Rowley, age 9, from St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School in Wellington for winning our latest Fairtrade poster design competition.

We know that primary and secondary schools pupils love to get involved with Fairtrade and are keen supporters of Fairtrade Fortnight, which is why we’ve got so many great free resources available to download.

During Fairtrade Fortnight 2014, we invited pupils from schools across the North West to design a Faitrade poster to be displayed in their local Co-operative Food store. The competition was very popular with over 170 entries received. The judges felt that Emma’s design encapsulated the essence of Fairtrade through the use of carefully chosen Fairtrade related depictions signed off with her very clever strapline, ‘Fairly Paid’. Emma’s winning design also scooped £250 worth of Co-operative Food vouchers for her school.

Well done Emma!
