Highlights: Green Schools Revolution Week 2014

It was once again a successful Green Schools Revolution Week! Up and down the country Green Schools Revolution pioneers displayed their commitment to sustainability by engaging in exciting eco activities around the themes of: Waste, Energy and Science, Fairtrade and Co-operation, Biodiversity and Healthy Living. During the week teachers received daily emails pointing them to our exciting bite size resources packed with exciting ideas and inspiration on the different green themes ranging from battle of the species to fruit-themed bingo!

Schools were also invited to enter daily prize draws, an opportunity which was grabbed by hundreds. Congratulations to all our prize winners!

  • St. John's Church of England Primary School & Exhall Grange Specialist School and Science College - A wormery for the classroom
  • Woodchurch High School & Mayville Primary School - A school trip for a class of 30 to one of several science and discovery centres
  • Castle Park School & Ballyclare High School - Fairtrade hamper full of teaching resources and Fairtarde treats!
  • Jordanhill School & Calow CE (VC) Primary School - Gardening equipment including trowels, gardening gloves and seeds
  • Takeley Primary School & Lawnswood School - A team’s worth of football kits
