As economic trading and meaningful member participation are key principles of the Group’s governance, your Members’ Council and Board have set a trading requirement for members wishing to participate in the Group’s governance through ‘one member one vote’ (OMOV).
We refer to those members who meet the trading threshold to participate in governance matters through OMOV as ‘eligible members’. We’ve outlined how you qualify as an eligible member below:
As an individual member, you must have met at least one of the following categories of spend in the Co-operative Group’s 2015 financial year (4 Jan 2015 – 2 Jan 2016).
- Recorded a total level of trade via your membership card to the value of £250 or more in our Food, Co-operative Travel (1) and E-store businesses.
- Recorded any level of trade via your membership card with Co-operative Legal Services (2), Co-operative Funerals (3) and/or our General Insurance business.
- You are the named holder of a Co-operative Funeralcare plan (4).
- Recorded a level of trade with the Bank (5) equating to 250 membership points or more.
