Together we can make a difference to climate change
At the end of October, the world’s political leaders get together in Glasgow to discuss climate change at COP26. That’s why we’re hosting our very own Co-op26, the climate event for everyone. We’ve partnered with the global movement, Count Us In, so together we can do our bit to fight climate change. Below are three actions that can make a big difference and we’re asking you to pledge to take climate action and share it with friends.
What's your pledge to save the planet?
What we’re doing
We will be a carbon net zero business by 2040 and are already playing a part in tackling climate change through a variety of initiatives. For example, all our food stores and Funeralcare homes are carbon neutral.
You shouldn’t have to pay more to eat vegan products. Learn how we’ve reduced the price of our popular Gro range to match meat and dairy-based counterparts.
Find out how you can now recycle soft plastic like crisp packets and biscuit wrappers at your local Co-op.
Discover how we’re reducing waste in our stores and how you can do the same at home through actions such as popping products in the bottom of the fridge where it’s chillier.
Our climate goals
We have created long-term goals aimed at protecting the future of our planet. We’ll need your help to achieve them, but together we can make an impact to fight climate change.
We actively campaign for climate change. Read our ten-point plan for making a difference to our world’s environment.
Whether it’s reducing food waste or using electricity from renewable sources in our food stores and Funeralcare homes, see how we’re championing the environment.
