Together we can make a difference to climate change

At the end of October, the world’s political leaders get together in Glasgow to discuss climate change at COP26. That’s why we’re hosting our very own Co-op26, the climate event for everyone. We’ve partnered with the global movement, Count Us In, so together we can do our bit to fight climate change. Below are three actions that can make a big difference and we’re asking you to pledge to take climate action and share it with friends.
What's your pledge to save the planet?

Tell your politicians
Speak or write to your local MP so they understand your concern about climate change and how they can be part of the solution. We’ve drafted this letter to make it easy.

Eat more plants
Eating more plant based food is one way to address climate change and also great for your health. Check out our vegan/plant-based recipes.

Cut food waste
Reduce greenhouse gas emissions by only buying what you need and using up the food you have at home. Why not start with this approach to cutting down food waste?
What we’re doing
We will be a carbon net zero business by 2040 and are already playing a part in tackling climate change through a variety of initiatives. For example, all our food stores and Funeralcare homes are carbon neutral.
Our climate goals
We have created long-term goals aimed at protecting the future of our planet. We’ll need your help to achieve them, but together we can make an impact to fight climate change.
