Keeping you safe when you shop in our stores

Coronavirus is still a threat to us all and we need to continue to take care. The changes we’ve made to the way you shop with us means you can pick up your essential items quickly, easily and safely.
Store changes

Social distancing
Social distancing is here to stay for the time being. Look out for the signs in store and please shop with care.

Face coverings
Face coverings are now compulsory for customers and staff at our stores. If you’re able to do so then we’d ask you to wear one, although we realise it’s not possible for everyone.
Changes to your shop

Helping our heroes and the vulnerable
We still have a dedicated shopping hour for our vulnerable customers, those who care for them and our brilliant NHS workers. The hour is 8am to 9am Monday to Saturday and from 10am to 11am on Sundays.

Making payments
Contactless card payments limits have been increased to £45, making it easier and safer to buy items.

Helping communities shop for each other
We’ve made it easier for those staying at home to pay for and get their essentials delivered with our Community Shopping Scheme. If you’ve been instructed by the Government to stay home, you can purchase or top up our Community Shopping Card by calling 0800 029 4592. Friends, family or volunteers can use this to do your shopping in store.

Supporting local communities

Working together
We all need to pull together in these uncertain times. Find out how we’re supporting local communities and those who are still vulnerable due to coronavirus.

Our new Co-op Membership gives a helping hand to you and your community
Every time members buy selected Co-op branded products and services, 2p for every pound spent goes to you and we’ll give the same to support community organisations and local causes.
