Keeping you safe when you shop in our stores
Covid-related restrictions are in place, so please still be careful when you’re shopping. Find out the changes we’ve made so you can feel safe when visiting your local Co-op.
Your local store opening hours may be different to usual. Find your usual opening times here and call ahead if in doubt.
We ask customers in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland to respect people's space, while in Wales 2m social distancing is in place . Hand sanitiser and cleaning stations are available in every store for you to use.
With government rules in place across the UK, you must wear a face covering in all our stores, unless you're exempt. We're asking all our customers to do this to help keep everybody safe.
Nothing matters more than the health and safety of you and our team members. Stores in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales will continue to limit the number of customers in the store at any one time. See the front of your store for details. Please follow social distancing guidelines in your area. Why not try Click and Collect to avoid any queues?
Changes to your shop
We’ve made it easier for those staying at home to pay for and get their essentials delivered with our Community Shopping Scheme. You can purchase or top up our Community Shopping Card by calling 0800 029 4592. Friends, family or volunteers can use this to do your shopping in store.
Contactless card payments limits have been increased to £100, making it easier and safer to buy items.

Supporting local communities
We all need to pull together as restrictions continue to affect our lives. Find out how we’re supporting local communities and those who are still vulnerable due to coronavirus.
Our new Co-op Membership gives a helping hand to you and your community
When Co-op Members buy selected Co-op branded products and services, we give 2p for every pound spent to local communities. This is split between the Local Community Fund and the Community Partnerships Fund.
