Co-op Estate Planning can help with your future planning needs, through Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and asset protection.
Wills
Making a Will is something that most of us would prefer to put off until another day. However, it is one of the most important things you can do. It gives you peace of mind, knowing that your wishes are clear about what you would like to happen after you die.
This is why at Co-op Estate Planning, one of the first things we look at when putting forward our recommendations is making sure your Will is in order and covers everything you need it to. From a simple Will to a complex Trust Will that protects your assets for future generations, our range of Wills can provide the protection you need.
If you have any questions about your future planning needs or about legal services then contact Co-op Legal Services on 0800 110 5221 or request a callback.

Lasting Power of Attorney
Nobody wants to think about what will happen if they become unable to make decisions themselves through illness, an accident or old age. But having a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) can make your affairs far easier to manage if you do become unable to do so. It will remove the burden from your family and significantly reduce the stress and cost to your family at a very difficult time.
As we continue to live longer, a growing number of us could suffer from illnesses such as dementia, potentially losing the capacity to look after ourselves.
We recognise the importance of an LPA and that it can make things easier for family and business partners at what can be a difficult and distressing time.
That’s why at Co-op Estate Planning we believe LPAs are an essential part of any long term plan and we will dicuss the options available to you in any of our recommendations.

Asset protection - a lifetime trust
The Co-op Estate Planning Lifetime Property Protection Trust allows you to shelter any assets you have, such as your home, in a trust. Once the trust is set up, it provides protection for any assets transferred into it and can help to make sure you leave as much as possible to your loved ones.
The Lifetime Property Protection Trust is designed so that you stay in control of your assets. It allows you to carry on living as if nothing has changed and use those assets in the same way as before. For example, even though you have placed assets in a trust, you can continue to live in your home and spend or save your money as you wish.
While nothing changes for you, the trust helps to protect your wealth for future generations as it makes sure that it goes to the people you want after you and any surviving spouse or partner dies.
