Our team of expert store designers will work with you to transform your store into a Co-op Franchise. Using our know-how from over 2,500 Co-op food stores along with your local knowledge, we will develop an offer that will delight your customers, grow your sales and increase your profits.
The Co-op trading and merchandising teams use its vast category specific knowledge, industry insight and supplier relationships to develop the most appropriate ranges to suit your store. Your range will be identical to an equivalent Co-op store so you can be sure that all the ranges are designed with the customer in mind.
Co-op will provide everything you need to market your store. With promotions changing every 2 weeks there are always new reasons for your customers to visit. Alongside market leading deals on Co-op own brand products and big UK brands, there are basket building link save deals and support for key annual and national events e.g. Valentine's Day, World Cup.
Franchisees not only benefit from the marketing activity in their store but also from the strong Co-op national presence on TV, radio, press, outdoor media and a sophisticated social media presence which franchisees can interact with and use to promote their store.
Your store will benefit from the engagement and targeting we do to reward and encourage loyalty from our 6 million members. For every £1 they spend on selected Co-op products and services, 2p goes onto their Co-op Membership account and we'll give the same to support community organisations and local causes.
Your Co-op Franchise store will operate our sophisticated sales and inventory based auto-replenishment system. The system uses many factors specific to your store to generate orders. You will experience optimal stock levels at the shelf edge whilst minimising waste and back stock. It means you can focus on running your store and serving your customers.
Like all Co-op stores your store will be serviced through our Co-op logistics network with industry leading availability and delivery accuracy. With deliveries up to 7 days a week our supply chain team make sure you have products arriving at the right time for your customers.
The operations team will provide intensive support throughout your refit. They will be at the store and advise on everything from staffing structure and recruitment through to full training and helping you to get your store launch ready. Beyond launch there will be regular visits to review your set-up and coach and support you to get the most out of your store.
You will also have a dedicated account manager. They will support you, working in partnership with the franchise operations manager to drive the performance of your store. They are also your link into the Manchester support centre.
You and your team will be fully trained to operate a Co-op store, from support through to ongoing training with access to all of our easy to use online learning resources. During the launch period you will have the support of an established Co-op buddy store manager to be on hand instore to embed training and help you get up to speed.
Co-op Franchise stores use the same leading technology as company owned stores. All IT hardware – such as EPOS, back office systems, hand-held devices, tablets, headsets and printers – is included in the franchise fee. The hardware is maintained through Co-op’s 24/7 IT support desk meaning we are on hand for you whenever you need us.
