  • 150g Co-op spaghetti
  • 80g broccoli, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Co-op olive oil
  • 2 rashers Co-op British smoked rindless streaky bacon, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 tsp black peppercorns, crushed
  • 60g Co-op Parmigiano Reggiano, finely grated


  1. Cook the spaghetti according to the pack instructions
  2. Add the broccoli 3 mins before the end of the cooking time
  3. Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a frying pan over a medium heat, then fry the bacon and garlic for 5 mins until browned
  4. Add the pepper and warm through
  5. Tip the bacon mixture into a large bowl, then add the cheese
  6. Drain the spaghetti, reserving the water
  7. Add the reserved water to the cheese and bacon mixture, a little at a time, until you have a light sauce
  8. Toss the spaghetti and broccoli through the sauce, then divide between 2 plates to serve
