  • 2 Co-op British pears, cored and thickly sliced
  • 1 tbsp Co-op Fairtrade clear honey
  • 2 thyme sprigs, leaves only
  • 4 slices Co-op Irresistible sourdough bloomer
  • 2 tbsp Co-op olive oil
  • 4 slices Co-op prosciutto
  • 60g Co-op British mature Cheddar, thinly sliced


  1. Warm the pear slices in a nonstick pan on a low heat for 1 minute, then stir in the honey and thyme
  2. Cook gently for another 2 mins, then remove with a spatula and set aside — set the pan aside too
  3. Brush the tops of each bread slice with oil, then make 2 sandwiches — keeping the oiled sides on the outside — filled with the honeyed pear, prosciutto and Cheddar
  4. In the pan you used for the pears, toast the sandwiches for 1-2 mins on each side, until the bread is golden and cheese is beginning to melt
  5. Cut in half to serve
