  • 150g broccoli florets, chopped
  • 50g Co-op frozen peas
  • 200g ready rolled shortcrust pastry
  • 2 tbsp Co-op cream cheese
  • 1 tbsp flat leaf parsley, chopped
  • 1 Co-op British egg, lightly beaten
  • Co-op piccalilli (optional)


  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C/fan 180°C/Gas 6
  2. Add the broccoli to a pan of boiling water and cook for 5 mins, then add the peas and cook for 2 mins more
  3. Drain and set aside to cool
  4. While the veg is cooking, roll the pastry out on a lightly floured surface and cut out 6 rounds about 13cm in diameter, gathering the trimmings and re-rolling as you go
  5. Stir the cream cheese and parsley into the veg, and season
  6. Place the rounds on a baking sheet and divide the mixture between them
  7. Wet the edges and fold over
  8. Make a slash on top for steam to escape, brush with egg and bake for 20 mins, until golden
  9. Serve the pasties with some piccalilli on the side, if you like
