A British staple meets a favourite Italian sweet in this clever dessert

Ingredients
- 40g Co-op milk chocolate (Fairtrade)
- 15g flaked almonds
- 1 tsp Co-op unsalted butter
- 2 tsp Co-op clear honey
- 2 Co-op Irresistible buttermilk crumpets
- 6 glacé cherries
Method
- Melt the chocolate in a bowl over a pan of simmering water, making sure the base doesn’t touch the surface
- Meanwhile, dry fry the flaked almonds for 1 minute until golden, then set aside
- Add the butter and honey to the pan and gently melt Fry the crumpets, holes facing down, for 2 mins or until they start to turn golden and sticky
- Remove from the pan and sprinkle over the toasted almonds, along with the glacé cherries, chopped into small pieces
- Drizzle over the melted chocolate then dive in
