Easy Eggy bread

  • 5 Co-op eggs
  • 5 tablespoons Co-op semi-skimmed milk
  • 8 thin slices bread e.g. wholemeal, granary or white
  • 15g butter
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil


  1. Crack the eggs into a bowl. Add the milk and whisk it all up
  2. Dip the bread into the egg mixture making sure all the bread is completely covered
  3. Pop half of the butter and all of the oil into a frying pan, add the 2 slices of bread and cook for 2 minutes on each side
  4. Repeat this with the rest of the butter and bread
  5. Cut into quarters and serve
