Bring Co-op to your front door

Big Bag Option

  • 2 oranges, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 100g Co-op unsalted butter, melted and cooled, plus extra for greasing
  • 250g Co-op self raising white flour
  • 1½ tsp baking powder
  • 2 large Co-op British free range eggs, beaten
  • 275ml Co-op semi-skimmed milk
  • 80g Co-op Irresistible Fairtrade white chocolate
  • 2 tbsp Co-op flaked almonds, toasted

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/fan160°C/gas 4
  2. Put the orange on a greased baking tray, and roast for 10-15 mins until slightly coloured, then set aside
  3. Meanwhile, combine the flour and baking powder in a large mixing bowl
  4. Make a well in the centre, then pour in the egg and milk
  5. Gradually whisk together until smooth, then whisk in the butter
  6. Grease a griddle pan, then set over a medium-high heat
  7. Once it’s hot, ladle in half the batter
  8. Reduce the heat to medium and cook for 5-6 mins, until the top is bubbling and just set
  9. Carefully flip over, using two spatulas. Griddle for a further 5-6 mins, until cooked all the way through, then keep warm
  10. Repeat with the remaining batter
  11. Meanwhile, microwave the chocolate in 30-second bursts until melted
  12. Halve each waffle, then serve topped with the orange and almonds, with the chocolate drizzled over
