Pear cranachan

This dessert traditionally features raspberries, but this version makes the most of seasonal Co-op British pears

  • 60g Co-op honey, raisin and almond granola
  • 150ml Co-op double cream
  • 1-2 tbsp Scotch whisky, to taste
  • 2 ripe Co-op British pears, peeled, halved and cored


  1. Gently dry fry the granola for 1-2 mins, then leave to cool
  2. Whip the cream into soft peaks, and swirl through the whisky and most of the granola
  3. Blend 3 of the pear halves until smooth, and thinly slice the remaining half
  4. Spoon the pear purée and cream into 2 dessert glasses, and gently swirl together
  5. To serve, scatter over the remaining granola, and arrange the pear slices on top
