These decadent bite-sized treats are made with Co-op Fairtrade dark chocolate

Ingredients
- 100g Co-op unsalted butter, plus extra for greasing
- 2 x 135g bars Co-op Fairtrade dark chocolate, broken up
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 100g caster sugar
- 4 tsp red food colouring
- 2 Co-op British eggs
- 100g Co-op self raising flour
- Crème fraÎche to serve (optional)
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180ºC/fan 160ºC/Gas 4
- Grease and line the base of a 20cm square baking tin
- Melt the chocolate with the butter and vanilla extract in a heatproof bowl over a pan of gently simmering water, making sure the bowl doesn’t touch the water
- Remove from the heat, add the sugar and food colouring and stir until dissolved
- Add the eggs and whisk together
- Mix in the flour, pour into the tin and bake for 15 mins
- Remove from the oven and leave to cool
- Turn out, then cut into 25 squares
- Serve with a dollop of crème fraÎche, if you like
