Social Hub prize draw terms and conditions
1. PROMOTER: This promotion is operated by Co-operative Group Limited a registered society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 with registration number 525R whose registered office is at 1 Angel Square, Manchester, M60 0AG. Any reference to ‘we’, ‘us’, ‘our’ in these Terms and Conditions should mean the Co-operative Group Food Limited.
2. OPENING AND CLOSING DATE: This Promotion runs monthly from midnight on the 1st of the month until midnight at the end of the month (the “Promotional Period”).
3. ELIGIBILITY: This promotion is only open to UK residents who are employees of Co-operative Group Limited, aged 16 years or over. If you are under the age of 18, you must obtain written parental or guardian consent to enter. We may ask the successful participants to provide proof of age and employment. Internet access required.
Employees of the promoter (or any of its group undertakings and its agencies) who are directly connected with the creation and administration of this promotion are excluded from participating.
Participants are automatically excluded if they won any of the Tier Prizes, Reach Prize or Engagement Prize during the previous Promotional Period. Participants will automatically become eligible again during the next Promotional Period.
4. HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
4.1. to join the Co-op Social Hub, participants must sign up online at https://coopsocialhub.sprinklr.com/login
4.2. to enter the prize draws, participants must achieve at least Tier 3 by meeting the points criteria as set out below.
- Tier 1 – participants must earn a minimum of 100 points
- Tier 2 – participants must earn between 60 and 99 points
- Tier 3 – participants must earn between 10 and 59 points
5. HOW TO EARN POINTS: Participants earn points through actions completed in the Co-op Social Hub as follows:
- 5 points – for sharing content to any of the "Approved Social Media Channels" (X, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook) via your social media account
- 10 points – for uploading content to the Co-op Social Hub, which is then approved by the Social Media Team to be shared by other users in the Co-op Social Hub.
At the end of the Promotional Period the participant’s earned points determine what tier they are in. Each tier has a different number and value of prizes. Points earned by the participant are reset at the start of each Promotional Period.
Points are monitored through an online tool which powers Co-op Social Hub (“Sprinklr”). Sprinklr’s system automatically applies points to a participant’s account. Co-op accepts no responsibility for the accuracy of Sprinklr and has no way to monitor the points accrued by participants.
6. PRIZE DRAW PRIZES: There are 12 prizes total to be won every Promotional Period.
6.1. There are 10 prizes of credit to be added to the winners’ Co-op Membership Cards, with the prize amount varying for each tier of points, as set out below (“Tier Prizes”):
- Tier 1: 5x £20 credit onto the winner’s Co-op membership card.
- Tier 2: 3x £10 credit onto the winner’s Co-op membership card.
- Tier 3: 2x £5 credit onto the winner’s Co-op membership card.
6.2. There is 1x prize of a £30 credit onto the winner’s Co-op membership card to be won by one of the participants with the highest Reach during the Promotional Period (“Reach Prize”).
6.3. There is 1x prize of a £30 credit onto the winner’s Co-op membership card to be won by one of the Participants with the highest Engagement during the Promotional Period (“Engagement Prize”).
Prizes are not exchangeable, non-transferable, and no cash alternative can be requested. Prizes are provided at our discretion and the Promoter may substitute or change the prize for a prize of an equivalent or greater value if circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control make it necessary to do so.
7. WINNER SELECTION: The 12 winners will be drawn within 7 days of the end of the Promotional Period by the Promoter, with winners for each prize being selected as below:
7.1. Tier Prizes: Each tier of points will have its corresponding number of winners (Tier 1: 5 winners, Tier 2: 3 winners and Tier 3: 2 winners) drawn at random using a randomised computer process.
7.2. Reach Prize: 1 winner from the top 5 participants with the highest Reach during the Promotional period will be drawn at random using a randomised computer process.
Reach is the measure of how many individual users a post is exposed to on the relevant social media network, as determined using the Sprinklr report at the end of the Promotional Period (“Reach”)
7.3. Engagement Prize: 1 winner from the top 5 participants with the highest Engagement during the Promotional period will be drawn at random using a randomised computer process.
Engagement is the measure of how many individual users interact with a post (for example: likes, comments and shares) as determined using the Sprinklr report at the end of the Promotional Period (“Engagement”).
A winner can only win 1 prize. If a winner is selected for the Reach Prize or Engagement prize and one of Tier Prizes, they will be awarded the Reach Prize or Engagement Prize instead of the Tier Prize, and a new winner will be selected for the relevant Tier Prizes in accordance with this clause. If the same winner is selected for both the Reach and Engagement Prize, a new winner will be selected for one of the prizes in accordance with this clause. If during the selection of a new winner, for any of the prizes, there are no other eligible participants for that prize, that prize will not be awarded.
8. NOTIFICATION: Winners will be notified by the Promoter via email to the details provided by the participant on entry to this promotion within 7 days of the winners being chosen. If the winner does not respond to the Promoter within 7 days of being notified and provide the requested information, then the winner's prize will be forfeited, and another winner will be picked at random from the remaining eligible entries in accordance with the process described above in clause 7. Winners should allow 28 days from claiming the prize for delivery. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for prizes that are stolen or unused by their expiry date. The Promoter accepts no responsibility where a participant enters incomplete or incorrect information when signing up to the Co-op Social Hub.
9. DECISIONS OF THE PROMOTER: If there is any dispute about the receipt of validity of any entry or any other aspect of the promotion, this will be decided by the Promoter. The Promoter’s decision regarding any aspect of the promotion is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it. The Promoter is not responsible for any third-party acts or omissions.
10. WINNER LIST: Winners’ names and respective counties of residence can be requested by sending an email to the following email: social@coop.co.uk, within 6 weeks of the winners being drawn. By entering, winners consent to such information being disclosed upon request. You have the right to ask that we stop any consent-based processing of your personal data after you withdraw that consent.
11. AGREEMENT TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Entry to this promotion shall constitute your acceptance of these terms and conditions and your agreement to be bound by them. These terms and conditions take effect immediately upon entry to the promotion. These terms and conditions prevail in the event of a conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials.
12. DISQUALIFICATION: We reserve the right to reject any entry, withhold any prize and disqualify you from the promotion if we reasonably suspect you of failing to comply with these terms and conditions or of fraud, cheating or dishonesty, without limitation, through the manipulation of codes, multiple computer-generated entries, or otherwise fraudulently falsifying data or acting fraudulently or dishonestly in the Promoter’s opinion. Entries must be made personally. Entries made through agents/third-parties, bulk entries or automated entries are invalid.
Duplicate posts of the same content on the same social network (for the purpose of participating in this promotion), posts that are deemed by the Co-op to be offensive or to constitute spam may be disqualified at the Co-op’s discretion. The posting of infringing, defamatory, obscene or otherwise unlawful or offensive content is prohibited. The Co-op shall not accept liability for the content or accuracy of any content posted by participants and reserves the right to remove content and to disqualify individuals from this Promotion at its absolute discretion.
13. NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ENTRIES NOT RECEIVED: The Promoter accepts no responsibility for lost, damaged, incomplete, illegible, or delayed entries due to delayed or not received points on the Co-op Social Hub. Such entries will be void. The Promoter cannot guarantee uninterrupted or secure access to the entry route. We accept no responsibility for entries not successfully received by us, or which are delayed, due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network, or server failure of any kind whether or not such failure is within the control of the Promoter or its agents. Proof of submission of entry is not proof of receipt of entry.
14. USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION TO ADMINISTER PROMOTION: We, other members of the Co-operative Group and any third-party agencies acting on our behalf, may collect personal information from you in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and any other applicable data privacy laws. Except as set out in clause 14 below, we, other members of the Co-operative Group Limited will only use your information for the purposes of administering this promotion.
15. USE OF PERSONAL AND OTHER INFORMATION FOR PROMOTIONAL PURPOSES: By entering this promotion, you agree that if you win, we, other members of the Co-operative Group Limited and third party agencies acting on our behalf, may use your entry, name, photo or image, county of residence and any testimonial you have provided to us, for promotional purposes (including on our websites, social media, within our magazines or within promotional emails). 16. CANCELLATION OR WITHDRAWAL OF PROMOTION: We reserve the right at our absolute discretion to withdraw or cancel this promotion without prior notice and without liability to any party if it becomes necessary to do so.
17. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS: We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Revised terms and conditions will be available at Social Hub prize draw terms and conditions - Co-op. It is your responsibility to keep up to date with any such changes.
18. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: All conditions, warranties and representations expressed or implied by law or otherwise in connection with the Prizes or this promotion are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law and the Promoter shall be under no liability whatsoever or howsoever arising in connection with any loss, damage or injury suffered as a direct result of the provision or use of the Prizes or entry to the promotion. The Promoter makes no attempt to exclude or limit its liability for death or personal injury arising as a result of its negligence.
The Promotor is not liable for system failures, network errors, errors or unavailability of the Co-op Social Hub website and / or participant’s Co-op Social Hub account, hacks on the system or personal devices / personal device issues.
19. COMPLIANCE WITH SOCIAL NETWORK POLICIES: This prize draw is in no way endorsed by, or associated with, any of the Approved Social Media Channels. However, as well as complying with these terms and conditions, you are also responsible for ensuring you comply at all times with the terms, conditions, rules and policies of any of the Approved Social Media Channels when using their services.
20. RELEVANT LAW: This promotion and these terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England, and you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts if any dispute arises.
21. GENERAL:
21.1. The Promoter is not responsible for any third-party acts or omissions. We cannot guarantee that the event will be free from disruptions, failings, or cancellations. We are not liable for such disruptions, failings, or cancellations unless they are caused by our negligence.
21.2. This Promotion is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by or associated with Sprinklr. Sprinklr shall not be liable for any breach of these terms and conditions. Each participant is providing information to the Co-op and not to Sprinklr.
