Digital Health & Social Care

UKAuthority Live Event running for 1.5hrs on each of three consecutive mornings: 11:00 to 12:30 on 24th, 25 and 26th June 2020

Digital Health & Social Care will explore how we are harnessing data and digital technology to improve people's lives - both in our current response to COVID-19 and looking to the future of health and care.

The rapid development of systems and processes across the UK's health and care sector as part of the current pandemic response has been both astonishing and impressive. Clinicians and technologists have collaborated at speed to respond to patient and user need and the nation is rightly proud of this work. The question remains, however, which of these brilliant developments will shape the future of our health and care sector? Will it accelerate the use of technology to help the elderly and vulnerable stay safe, well and independent for longer in their own homes? Can we give those with chronic diseases real-time support, knowledge and ownership over their health? Can technology integrate and improve the journey from hospital to home after an admission? Can the power of data and AI enable the health and care system to predict and prevent individual health crises? This event is free to attend for the public sector and accredited for five hours CPD
