Future Community Chefs
Join our community cookery school this half term as we support KS4 pupils who are interested in building a career in the food sector...
This half term we're running an online version of our Future Community Chefs course on behalf of KS4 pupils at Harrytown, Reddish Vale and Werneth School in Stockport.
Participating students (accompanied by their parents and carers) will learn how to cook a healthy recipe via Zoom in this free online cookalong! They will also learn more about budgeting, nutrition and develop employability skills such as teamwork and communication.
Our experienced DBS-checked tutors create a friendly, collaborative learning environment and provide remote support and assistance via Zoom to help accommodate all learning needs.
How it works On the day we'll be running 2 x 2 hour workshops. - Workshop 1: 10am - 12pm - Workshop 2: 1pm - 3pm - Please let us know which of the 2 workshops you plan to join when you sign up on the registration form. After you've signed up, we'll confirm the students' details with the corresponding schools then send you the list of ingredients and utensils that you'll need to join in from the safety of your own kitchen. You'll also be sent the relevant Zoom information and, if you have any specific dietary requirements, our chef will provide details of the necessary adaptations.
We look forward to welcoming you to our community cookery school and teaching the next generation of Future Community Chefs!
FAQs What will we be cooking? A simple healthy recipe - we'll confirm the exact dish via email beforehand with you when we send over the list of ingredients & utensils.
How will you cater for my dietary requirements? We will contact you by email prior to the course starting to confirm if you have any dietary requirements/allergies to ensure that the recipes will work for you. You will need to make us aware of any allergies/dietary requirements at this stage, so that our chef can plan and adjust recipes accordingly if needs be.
How can I contact the organiser with any questions? If you have any further questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
