What the Social Mobility Foundation does

The Social Mobility Foundation is a charity which aims to improve social mobility for high-achieving young people from low-income backgrounds in order for them to achieve their full potential. Since the charity was founded back in 2005, they have supported students all around the UK and many of them have gone to Higher Education and careers within different sectors such as Business, Digital, Engineering, Law, Media and Politics. Some have even returned to SMF to offer mentorship to younger students. The SMF opened their Manchester office in 2014, their first outside London, and since has gone on to open offices in 6 other cities across the UK.
