Inverclyde Community Project

The Inverclyde Shed is a 100% volunteer-run grassroots organisation that provides welcoming spaces for people to come together, learn new skills and share their experiences. Through its community workshop and growing spaces across Inverclyde, the Shed offers a wide range of hands-on activities, from woodworking and gardening, to beekeeping, musical instruments and drawing. At the heart of the organisation is a simple aim: to reduce loneliness and social isolation by helping people build genuine friendships, improve their physical and mental wellbeing, and feel more connected to their community. Membership is open to anyone over 18 and brings together people from all walks of life, creating a place where members can meet, make, grow and share together.

Thanks to National Lottery players, The Inverclyde Shed has received a total of £359,000 in National Lottery funding between 2018 and 2025, helping the organisation to continue providing vital community spaces and activities that support connection, wellbeing and skills-sharing across Inverclyde

Swansea Wellbeing Centre

The Swansea Wellbeing Centre is a not-for-profit pioneering Community Centre dedicated to improving physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. With a team of experienced practitioners, the centre offers a wide range of affordable classes, clinics, courses, workshops, talks, therapies and treatments. Its flagship Community Inclusion Programme provides free wellbeing activities and support every weekday. At the heart of the organisation is the belief that everyone deserves to have access to the highest quality wellbeing support, whatever their circumstances. The centre is committed to creating an inclusive, welcoming environment where people can access high-quality wellbeing services, build meaningful connections, develop confidence and find a sense of calm within a safe and supportive community environment. Thanks to National Lottery players, The Swansea Wellbeing Centre has received a total of £59,000 in National Lottery funding between 2020 and 2024, helping the organisation to continue providing vital community spaces and activities that support connection, wellbeing and skills-sharing across Swansea.

Stretford Children’s Theatre

For children and young people, access to creative opportunities can be transformational. Streford Children’s Theatre is a local volunteer-led charity that runs affordable drama sessions for children and young people, helping them to build confidence creativity, teamwork, and communication skills. Through regular sessions and community performances, the charity gives young people the opportunity to express themselves, develop new friendships, and take part in theatre in a supportive and accessible environment.

Thanks to National Lottery players, Streford Children’s Theatre has received a total of £65,000 in National Lottery funding between 2017 and 2025, helping them to deliver creative opportunities for local children and young people and bring the wider community together through the arts.

Footprints Women’s Centre

Since its opening in 1991, Footprints Women’s Centre has become a key community hub for women, children, and families in West Belfast. The centre provides a wide range of support, including childcare, family support services, wellbeing programmes, education and training opportunities, advice services, volunteering opportunities, and community food initiatives. Through its work, Footprints Women’s Centre helps women build confidence, access practical support, develop new skills and feel more connected to their community. Its services have supported generations of local families, creating a welcoming space where women and children can be heard, supported, and empowered

Thanks to National Lottery players, Footprints Women’s Centre has received a total of £1,600,000 in National Lottery funding between 1996 and 2025, helping the charity to continue delivering vital services for women, children, and families across its community.

Teens Unite Fighting Cancer

For young people affected by cancer, the challenges often continue long after treatment has ended. Teens Unite Fighting Cancer supports 13 to 24-year-olds living with and beyond cancer, giving them the opportunity to meet others with shared experiences, rebuild confidence, learn new skills, and feel less alone. Through activities, programmes and residential stays, the charity empowers young people to live more positively with cancer and thrive beyond their diagnosis, helping them take their next steps towards the future.

Thanks to National Lottery players, Teens Unite Fighting Cancer has received a funding commitment of £231,000 in National Lottery funding between 2017 and 2026, helping to deliver vital support to teenagers and young adults as they navigate the emotional, mental and social impacts of cancer.
