Young members have been influencing and shaping decisions at Co-op through our Co-op Young Members’ Group (CYMG) since 2013. They help us make sure young voices are heard across the business. Meet the team, find out what they get up to, and see how you can get involved and make a difference as a young member.
We’re a core team of six young members, all aged between 16-25-years-old, who work with Co-op for a few hours each month to lend our voices and share ideas. We also help the business to connect with more young members to make sure their collective voices are heard too.
We represent young members on Co-op’s National Member Council and in other spaces and committees, so that young members have a seat at the table to discuss things like membership, ethics and sustainability, modern co-operative leadership, community and social value.

We regularly work with teams from across the Co-op business to look at all aspects of Co-op Membership, to make sure it is driven by young members and provides value for members under 25.
