The Local Community Fund supports projects in our members’ communities that provide access to opportunities and resources for people to thrive. Co-op Members can choose the local cause they want to support through their membership.
Applications to our Local Community Fund have been extended in some areas.
In the next round of funding, Co-op Members will decide how we share £3.5m across their communities from October 2026 to October 2027.
We’re looking to support projects that enable people to access food, create opportunities for young people, improve people’s mental wellbeing, promote community cohesion and build sustainable futures.
If you know a charity, community group or other voluntary organisation looking for funding, encourage them to check if they can still apply by Friday 10 July 2026.
Co-op Members can influence how and where we share our profits by choosing a local cause to support.
It's thanks to members that we’ve helped 39,000 causes support 9.5m people in communities across the UK through our Local Community Fund since 2016.
