Terms and Conditions

By entering the Promotion you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these terms and conditions (the ‘Terms and Conditions’).

These Terms and Conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. Entry/claim instructions are deemed to form part of the Terms and Conditions and by participating all claimants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the Terms and Conditions. Please print a copy of these Terms and Conditions and retain for future reference.

Promoter: Pladis (UK) Limited, Building 3, Chiswick Park, 566 Chiswick High Road, Chiswick, London, W4 5YA (please do not send correspondence to this address). (“Promoter”).

1. Eligibility:

This promotion is only open to UK residents (excluding Northern Ireland) aged 18 years or over who are Co-operative Group Limited members (excludes temporary members). We may ask the winner to provide proof of age. Employees of the promoter or Co-op (or any of their respective group undertakings and agencies who are directly connected with the creation and administration of this promotion) and their immediate family members are excluded from entering.

2. How to enter:

2.1. Purchase any McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes product and, as part of the same transaction, scan your Co-op membership card in a Co-operative Group Food store during the Promotional Period. You will then automatically be entered into the Promotion. Temporary Co-op membership card holders are automatically excluded from this promotion.

2.2. Purchase of a qualifying product necessary. Only one entry per qualifying product (for multiple purchases, you must check out separately for each one noting that entries are limited to 1 entry per person per day).

3. Promotional Period:

The Promotional period will run from from 11.59pm on 28/04/2026 to 23:59 on 19/05/2026

4. Prizes:

4.1. The Prize consists of 3 See Tickets vouchers (1 ticket allocated to each individual Winner), each redeemable to the value of £160.

4.2. The Prize is as stated, non-transferable and no cash alternative is available.

4.3. Any other costs incurred in addition to those set out above and that are incidental to the fulfilment of the Prizes are the responsibility of the Winners.

5. Winner announcement/ Prize claim:

5.1. There will be 3 Winners in total.

5.2. The Winner of the Prize will be drawn by The Co-op at random via a secure, entirely automated independently verified computer system from all eligible entries. The Winner will be notified by The Co-op via email within TWO (2) weeks of the end of the Promotional Period. Co-op will use the address registered on the winner's Co-op membership account to notify them. The Winner may withdraw from the promotion by responding “opt-out” within 48 hours of receiving the notification email.

5.3. The Winner of the Prize must respond to Co-op within two (2) business days of being notified by the Promoter. If the Winner does not respond within such timeframe, then the Winner's Prize will be forfeited and the Promoter shall be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above.

5.4. If a Winner rejects their Prize or the entry is in breach of these Terms and Conditions, the Winner's Prize will be forfeited and the Promoter shall be entitled to select another Winner. 5.5 Where a Winner responds to Co-op positively to accept the prize, Co-op shall obtain each Winner’s express consent to transfer their email address to the promoter for the purposes of awarding a prize to fulfil the promotion. Co-op will then pass the winner's email address to the Promoter so the Promoter can contact the winner via email to organise the prize fulfilmentT

6. Privacy and Data Protection:

6.1 We use very little personal data for our “Coop Jaffa Cakes” Promotion, but we need some to process your entry and to fulfil your prize if you are a Winner. We also need personal details to respond to any enquiries you may have. This privacy notice explains what personal data we process and your rights over what we do with it.

6.2 This privacy notice applies to the “Coop Jaffa Cakes” Promotion, only. You can find out more about how pladis (UK) Ltd process personal data for other purposes at https://www.mcvities.co.uk/privacy

6.3 When you enter the promotion, [legal entity for Co-operative] will select winners. If you win, they will share your details with us for prize fulfilment. Our processing of your personal data is necessary for the performance of the Promotion contract.

6.4 We may need to share prize winners’ personal data with prize suppliers and third parties, and you may need to provide further personal data to them for fulfilment of your prize. Where these partners process personal data, it is subject to their own privacy notices. Other partners with whom we may share personal data include IT service providers, delivery companies, and business partners who help us to ensure the proper administration of the Promotion and associated services.

6.5 Should we need to transfer personal data outside of the UK, we will ensure that appropriate legal and technical safeguards are in place.

6.6 You can request copies of personal data about you including in portable electronic formats and, where appropriate, the rectification, erasure or restriction of processing of that personal data.

6.7 If you're not happy with our processing of personal data, you can complain by contacting privacy@pladisglobal.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, or you believe our personal data processing is not in accordance with the law, you can complain to our Senior Responsible Individual (SRI) by emailing privacy@pladisglobal.com. Your complaint will be reviewed in accordance with our Data Protection Complaints procedure.

6.8 If, following our investigation, you are dissatisfied with the outcome, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) by calling +44 (0)303 123 1113, or by visiting ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/

7. General:

7.1. The Promoter reserves the right, in exceptional circumstances, to award an alternative prize of equal or greater value, should the Prize (or any element of it) become unavailable for any reason.

7.2. In the event of circumstances outside the reasonable control of the Promoter, or otherwise where fraud, abuse, and/or an error (human or computer) affects or could affect the proper operation of this Promotion or the awarding of the Prize, and only where circumstances make this unavoidable, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the Promotion or these Terms and Conditions, at any stage, but will always use reasonable endeavours to limit the effect on participants.

7.3. Entrants must enter the Promotion using their legal name. The Promoter reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to verify the eligibility of the Winners, including but not limited to, proof of identity and/or age, as required or refuse to award a prize or to withdraw Prize entitlement and/or refuse participation in the Promotion where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions or any instructions forming part of this Promotion’s entry requirements or otherwise where a participant has gained an unfair advantage in participating in the Promotion or has won using fraudulent means.

7.4. The Promoter makes no representation or warranty in relation to any Prize provided. Except as specifically set out herein and to the maximum extent permitted by law, all conditions, warranties and representations expressed or implied by law are hereby excluded. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we hereby exclude and shall not have any liability to any entrant or Winner in connection with or arising out of this Promotion howsoever caused, including for any costs, expenses, forfeited prizes, damages and other liabilities, provided that nothing herein shall operate so as to limit or exclude our liability for personal injury or death caused by our negligence or liability for fraudulent misrepresentation. For the avoidance of doubt, this paragraph shall also apply in respect of any prize provided by a third-party provider. By entering the Promotion, you agree to release the Promoter from any liability accordingly.

7.5 If an act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these Terms and Conditions, the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligation.

7.6. In all aspects of this Promotion the Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the Promotion.

7.7 Co-operative Group Limited are not the Promoter and shall not be liable for any breaches of these terms and conditions by the Promoter

7.8 The Winners’ surnames and counties, can be requested by emailing [Rosetta to add email address of Co-op/marketing agency/consumer services] with the subject “Coop Jaffa Cakes Winners List” and will be available for a period of 4 weeks from 20/05/2026.

7.9 The Promoter will not accept responsibility for late, incorrect, illegible, incomplete, defaced, corrupt, lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed entries.7.10. These Terms and Conditions shall be interpreted and applied on the basis of English law and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
