Terms and Conditions

The following apply to all competitions, giveaways and offers featured in the Co-op Food Magazine. Entry to the prize draw shall constitute an entrants’ acceptance of these terms and conditions and their agreement to be bound by them. These terms and conditions take effect immediately upon entry to the prize draw. If these terms and conditions are not accepted in full, then the entrant should not enter this prize draw.

This prize draw is open to all UK residents except employees and families of the promoter(s), The River Group Content Ltd, and any third parties or anyone professionally associated with the promotion. Entrants must be aged 18 or over.

Competition entry is online with entries being collected at coop.co.uk/competition, access to the internet is required. Alternatively, you can enter by post with entries being addressed to Co-op Food Magazine, The River Group Content Ltd, Garden Floor, 16 Connaught Place, London, W2 2ES.

To enter the prize draw entrants must submit their name, email address and/or phone number during the promotional period. No purchase necessary.

Entries received outside of the promotional period or entries which are missing mandatory information and/or which contain incorrect information will not be accepted. The closing date is 23:59 on Tuesday 27th August 2019.

The River Group Content Ltd, and the Co-operative Group will not be liable for entries which are not received or which are incomplete, inaccurate, corrupt or delayed for any reason.

Entries are limited to only one entry per person. Multiple entries will not be accepted.

The winner will be picked at random from all valid entries after the closing date by an independent judging body. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Winners must accept and redeem the prize in accordance with the competition providers terms & conditions.

The prize must be accepted as offered. No cash alternative is available. The prize cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged. The promoter of the competition prize reserves the right to substitute the prize for one of equal or greater value. All elements of the prize are subject to availability.

Within 14 days of the winner being drawn, the promotions manager from The River Group Content Ltd will contact the winners by telephone, using the details provided at entry to inform the winner of their prize win and next steps. Losing entries will not receive any notification.

Each winner must respond to the promoter within 28 days of the promoter’s first attempt to notify them that they have won in order to accept the prize.

In the event that a winner does not respond to accept the prize within 28 days of the promoters first attempt to notify them that they have won, the prize will be forfeited and the promoter will be entitled to draw a new winner form the remaining valid entries using the same process as detailed above.

The prize will be delivered to an address in the UK. The promoter accepts no responsibility for any incomplete or incorrect postal address provided or any additional costs incurred for re-postage.

When you enter a competition featured in the Co-op Food magazine, the contract is with the third-party supplier and not with the Co-operative Group, Co-op Food Magazine or The River Group Content Ltd. In line with the ASA CAP code, The River Group may have to publish or make available on request the name and county of major prize winners. By entering these competitions and giveaways, you agree to have your name and location published online or in Co-op Food magazine.

The Co-operative Group, Co-op Food Magazine, The River Group and the competition supplier reserves the right to disqualify from this prize any entrant suspected of fraud or cheating including, without limitation, through manipulation of codes, multiple computer-generated entries, or otherwise fraudulently falsifying data or acting fraudulently or dishonestly in the opinion of the promoter or supplier. The supplier reserves the right at its absolute discretion to cancel this prize draw or whole in part in the event of circumstances that make it necessary to do so.

The Co-op Food Magazine, The River Group Content Ltd and the competition supplier will not be liable for system failures, network errors, errors or unavailability on its website, hacks on the system or personal computer/mobile devices of any kind.

The Co-op Food Magazine and The River Group Content Ltd may pass your personal information to third parties to enable them to process a request, to supply you with a prize in the event you win a competition; or to obtain professional advice. The third-parties used by us will only use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

All entrants’ personal information will be deleted 1 month after the date of which the winner has been selected. If you enter and win this competition, your personal information will be shared with the competition supplier for the sole purpose of administering the prize. The winner’s personal information will be held by the River Group Content Ltd until the prize fulfilment is completed, to ensure this is administered correctly.

All data received will be used strictly in accordance with GDPR data legislation and industry best practice. The Co-operative Group and The River Group Content Ltd follow strict security procedures in order that the data we collect is stored and disclosed appropriately and securely.
