We take packaging waste seriously and try to reduce it wherever we can.

Our packaging:

  • is 100% recyclable
  • uses eco friendly inks
  • uses cardboard from sustainable sources
  • protects medication from damage

Standard packaging

We send most medication in our standard packaging, which uses wax glue and die cut strips in place of plastic and tape.

Recycle the packaging by placing it in your cardboard recycling bin.

Larger deliveries

Some deliveries are large enough to need a box. When this is the case, we still use the same sustainable cardboard. If protective packing is needed, we use either recyclable plastic or crushed paper.

Keeping medication cool

Some medication needs to be kept at low temperatures while being transported. Woolcool is a sustainable lining that Co-op Health uses to insulate any products that need to be kept cool.

Woolcool is 100% biodegradable and made with wool from adult sheep of breeds that need to be sheared regularly.

You can reuse the lining in all sorts of ways, such as protecting plants in your garden from the cold or in craft projects.
