With blackberries, cinnamon and orange, this mulled wine is our take on the traditional Nordic warmer, glögg.

  • 1½ tbsp Co-op Fairtrade light brown soft sugar
  • 100g Co-op blackberries
  • 300ml red wine (we used Co-op Fairtrade Merlot)
  • 2 orange slices
  • 2 cinnamon sticks


  1. Put all the ingredients in a pan and heat very gently for about 15 mins, stirring from time to time to ensure the sugar has dissolved — don’t allow the mixture to boil
  2. Pour the mulled wine into heatproof glasses to serve, reserving the orange slices and cinnamon sticks for a garnish
