Ingredients

  • 50ml Co-op Irresistible single malt Scotch whisky
  • 50ml sweet red vermouth
  • 1 tsp golden syrup or honey
  • 4 dashes of bitters
  • Clementine zest, to serve

Method

  1. Pour 50ml Co-op Irresistible single malt Scotch whisky and 50ml sweet red vermouth into a cocktail shaker
  2. Add 1 tsp golden syrup or honey and stir through until dissolved. Half-fill the shaker with ice and add 4 dashes of bitters
  3. Shake well, until icy cold, then strain into a cocktail glass
  4. Twist a strip of clementine zest over the cocktail to release the oils, then curl it over the edge of the glass and serve

Make it a mocktail: Swap the whisky and vermouth for Co-op Irresistible Assam Fairtrade tea, brewed and chilled, and Co-op apple juice, and leave out the bitters
