  • 300g pack Co-op GRO sizzlin’ sausages
  • 1 large Co-op British carrot
  • 2 tbsp Co-op pure Canadian maple syrup
  • 1 tsp reduced-salt soy sauce
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 3 thyme sprigs, leaves picked
  • 4 tbsp Co-op Irresistible cranberry & port sauce


  1. Preheat the grill to medium. Cook the sausages on a baking tray for 15 mins, turning them halfway through, until golden
  2. Once the sausages are cool enough to handle, cut each one in half
  3. While the sausages are cooking, use a vegetable peeler to peel the carrot lengthways into 12 ribbons
  4. Put the ribbons in a sieve, then pour over a kettle of boiling water
  5. Leave to steam dry for 2 mins
  6. Mix together the maple syrup, soy sauce and paprika until smooth, then toss through the carrots
  7. Wind a carrot strip around each half-sausage. Put on a baking tray, with the seam pointing down
  8. Grill for 5 mins, until golden
  9. Season with black pepper, then serve with the thyme sprinkled over and the cranberry sauce on the side
