The 19th Cork competition

  1. Claim instructions are deemed to form part of the Terms & Conditions and by entering this promotion, you will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. In the event of a discrepancy between these Terms & Conditions and the details in promotional material, the details in the Terms & Conditions will prevail.

  3. This Promotion is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 or over, excluding employees of the Promoter and anyone professionally associated with this Promotion.

  4. Purchase is necessary. Winners must retain the unique WINNING cork as this will be required for validation. Internet access and a valid email address are required to claim prize. Max one win per person.

  5. Whilst we want you to enjoy this promotion, we discourage over consumption. Please do not purchase more product than you should reasonably consume to increase your chances of winning. Maximum one entry per person, per week.

  6. Claim By Date: Promotion is open from 01/03/23. The promotion closes on 31/08/23 and all winning claims must be made by this date. Any claims received after the close of the promotion period will be rejected. All wins will be verified.

  7. To participate: Purchase a 19 Crimes bottle featuring the ‘Win a share of £100,000’ promotional neck collar. Products excluded from the campaign: 19 Crimes The Deported, 19 Crimes Cabernet Sauvignon, 19 Crimes The Banished, 19 Crimes Sparkling, 19 Crimes 1.5L box Red, 19 Crimes 1.5L box Revolutionary Rosé and 19 Crimes 1.5L box Chard. A total of 400 WINNING 19th Corks featuring a unique 8 digit code (URN) will be fairly and randomly distributed amongst Promotional Product under the supervision of an independent promotional verification service. Winners will be required to keep their WINNING 19th Corks as proof to validate winning their Prize. Any unclaimed WINNING 19th Corks at the close of the promotional period will be declared null and void.

  8. Entrants who make an entry on someone else’s behalf will be disqualified, at the Promoter’s discretion.

  9. The Prizes: There will be a total of 400 WINNING corks in circulation throughout the promotion. Each winner will win £250 via BACs transfer into their UK bank account. Winners are responsible for providing correct bank account and personal details and the Promoter will not be liable for any Prize payments made into the wrong bank account or for winners failing to supply accurate information which affects prize acceptance or fulfilment of their prize.

  10. No alternative prizes will be provided in whole or in part, except that in the event of circumstances outside of its control the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a similar prize of equal or greater value. The prizes are non-transferable.

  11. Claiming your prize: If you find a WINNING 19th Cork, you need to visit www.the19thcork.co.uk, enter your name, email address, enter the unique 8 digit code (URN) printed on the cork and upload an image of the WINNING 19th Cork with the unique 8 digit code (URN) clearly displayed and visible to claim. Successful claim submissions will receive confirmation of registration of claim on screen and via email containing a unique claimant reference. The Promoter then has 7 days to verify the claim. If your claim URN is not verified, further verification details will be requested within 7 days of claim submission via the email address provided when claiming. If your claim is successfully verified you will receive a further email within 7 days confirming you have won £250 and asking you to provide, via a secure link your UK bank account details (account number and sort code) and postcode. Once you have provided you UK bank account details and postcode you will receive an email within 7 days confirming the claim has been processed and that you will receive payment into your account within 14 days. You must claim by 31/08/23. Keep your 19th Cork as you will need it to validate your claim. The promoter reserves the right to verify all entries physically, including but not limited to, asking for the winning promotional cork mailed in and identity details (passport, driving license or equivalent) which must be provided within 14 days of request. Requests for a mailed in submission for secondary validation will be at the expense of the participant.

  12. Transferability of WINNING 19th Cork: WINNING 19th Corks must not be sold for commercial gain in any way, including on online auction sites. If the Promoter becomes aware that a WINNING 19th Cork has been made available for sale, auctioned, bought, or sold the Promoter reserves the right to cancel the WINNING 19th Cork without payment of compensation to the entrant who submits the relevant WINNING 19th Cork & Code (URN) for verification as a valid win.

  13. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse to award a prize or withdraw prize entitlement and/or refuse further participation in the promotion and disqualify the participant where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these Terms & Conditions, the spirit of the promotion, any instructions forming part of this promotion’s entry requirements or otherwise where a participant has gained unfair advantage in participating or won using fraudulent means.

  14. Entry limits: Entries, bulk or otherwise made from trade, consumer groups, syndicates or third parties will not be accepted. If it becomes apparent that a participant is reposting the same content multiple times or is using a computer(s) to circumvent this condition by, for example, the use of ‘script’, ‘brute force’ or any other automated means, that person’s entries will be disqualified and any prize awards will be void.

  15. Winners list: a list of winners detailing winner surname and county of residence will be available by sending an email with subject heading: Winners list to info@the19thcork.co.uk Winners lists will be available from 01/09/23 until 31/12/23. Winners can object to disclosure, or request that disclosure be limited in scope by contacting info@the19thcork.co.uk We may nevertheless disclose the information to the Advertising Standards Authority if required to do so.

  16. The Promoter together with any associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this Promotion or accepting or using a Prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. No responsibility can be taken for entries of winning claims that are lost, delayed, corrupted, damaged, misdirected or incomplete or which cannot be delivered for any technical, delivery or other reason. Proof of submitting claim will not be accepted as proof of receipt.

  17. The Promoter has no control over internet or communication networks and is not liable for any problems associated with them due to traffic congestion, technical malfunction or otherwise. The Promoter will not be held liable to any individual for any fraud committed by any third party nor for any event beyond its control including, but not limited to, user error and any network, computer, hardware or software failures of any kind which may restrict, delay or prevent a participant’s prize claim.

  18. In the event that the Promotion is not capable of running as planned for reasons including but not limited to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, dishonesty, technical failures, or any other causes, beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, modify or suspend the Promotion and/or invalidate any affected entries and/or disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process or does not comply with these Terms & Conditions.

  19. Should an act, omission, event or circumstance occur which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these Terms & Conditions the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligations.

  20. The Promoter may refuse to award a Prize in the event of any entrant’s fraud, dishonesty, breach or non-entitlement under these Terms & Conditions or seek recovery of its value if the Prize has been awarded.

  21. If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these Terms & Conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.

  22. The Promoter’s decision is final with regard to all promotional matters and no correspondence will be entered into.

  23. Any and all personal data supplied during the Promotion will be solely for the purpose of the Promotion by the Promoter and/or by any agent appointed by it to assist with running the Promotion on behalf of the Promoter and for provision of Prizes in connection with the Promotion and will not be disclosed to a third party for any other purpose unless your positive consent has been obtained. Your personal details will at all times be kept confidential and in accordance with current Data Protection legislation.   24. These Terms and Conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales in the United Kingdom unless you live in another part of the UK, in which case your local courts will have jurisdiction.
