These terms and conditions (Terms) relate to the Membership Proposition, which has been made available to certain Co-op Group Members. If selected, and by using booster offers, all participants are deemed to have accepted and be bound by these Terms.

In these terms when we say “we”, “us” “our” or “Co-op” we mean Co-operative Group Limited and its group of companies. When we say “you” and “your” we mean the Co-op Member whose name is on the front of their Membership Card.

Booster offers

If you have been selected to participate, you will be eligible to earn booster offers when you shop and/or purchase selected Co-op own-brand products only in a Co-op Group Food Store and scan or swipe your valid Co-op Group Membership Card. When you have shopped the number of times specified, you will earn your booster offer.

New boosters will be available in the Co-op App from time to time.

How to participate

You must have downloaded the Co-op App.

  • In the “Offers” tab of the Co-op App you will see any booster offers that are available to you.
  • When you make certain qualifying purchases in a Co-op Group Food store, detailed in the Co-op App, you’ll make progress toward earning your booster offer.
  • Each booster will give details of the criteria that will allow you to earn that booster offer, for example you may need to spend a certain amount in one transaction, or you may need to buy certain products in a transaction to qualify.
  • Each booster will require a specified number of shops for you to earn the booster offer. This may vary between boosters.
  • In order to make progress towards earning your booster offer, you must scan your Co-op Group Membership Card when making a qualifying purchase.
  • One transaction counts as one shop towards earning a booster offer.
  • If you do not shop and scan your membership card the required number of times before the booster’s end date, you will not earn the booster offer. Any progress made towards earning that booster offer will expire and cannot be carried over to any other booster.

How to redeem your offer

  • Once you have completed your booster, you will unlock your booster offer.
  • To claim your booster offer, you must add it to your card in the Co-op App before the expiry date shown.
  • Once you have claimed your booster offer, it will be visible in the “Wallet” tab of the Co-op App.
  • You must use your booster offer by the expiry date shown.
  • Booster offers can only be used once, are not exchangeable or transferable, and there is no cash alternative.
  • If using a booster offer to buy alcohol, where the offer would reduce the alcohol product below the Minimum Unit Price (the minimum price at which we are legally allowed to sell that product), we may refuse to accept the booster offer on that purchase or may only apply a part reduction, so that we do not reduce the product below the Minimum Unit Price. 18+ only, proof of age/identity required. Booster offers cannot be used to purchase alcohol in Scotland or Northern Ireland.
  • Booster offers can only be used in full in a single transaction and no change will be given.

Exclusions

  • Booster offers may only be redeemed in-store at Co-op Group food stores. Booster offers cannot be used in conjunction with certain other offers that give money off the total value of your shop, see offer terms for specific details.
  • Booster offers cannot be earned or redeemed:
    • when shopping online at shop.coop.co.uk or via an online delivery partner;
    • in independent co-operative society stores (including Midcounties, Central England, Southern or Chelmsford Star co-operatives), in some Co-op Live concession stores, Co-op franchise stores or in non Co-op branded stores, such as Nisa;
    • by buying first stage baby milk, postage stamps, savings schemes or stamps, lottery purchases, gift cards and vouchers, phone cards, in-store concessions, PayPoint, newspaper deliveries, mobile phone top ups, prescription medicines, fuel, cigarettes or tobacco. 
    • by buying alcohol if you are located in Scotland or Northern Ireland.
  • Boosters are limited to selected Co-op Group Members who are UK residents only. 

General

  • In the event of any conflict with any other communications or promotional materials, these terms will apply.
  • We reserve the right to amend these terms, or to change or end boosters at any time.
  • We reserve the right to remove any booster at any time, regardless of whether any progress has been made towards earning the booster offer.
  • Any booster offer associated with your Membership number cannot be used by anyone else. If you request a new Membership card, any progress made on boosters or booster offers earned will not be transferred to that new Membership number. If you receive a new Membership number you may no longer be eligible to participate.
  • Availability of boosters may vary for each Co-op member. 
  • We have the right to stop anyone earning booster offers, using boosters or taking part if we reasonably believe that they are in breach of these terms, have been dishonest or done something fraudulent.
  • We cannot guarantee uninterrupted access and accept no responsibility for progress not being made on a booster due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind whether or not such failure is within our control or our agents’ control.
