These Terms and Conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. Entry and claim instructions are deemed to form part of the Terms and Conditions. Please retain a copy for your information.

This prize promotion (the “Promotion”) is open to customers of COOP (Co-op Group food stores) and NISA stores in Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) aged 18 years or over at the time of entry excluding employees of the Promoter and their immediate families, the Promoter’s agents, third parties or any other person professionally connected with the Promotion.
This promotion appears cross media in Co-op and NISA stores with one shared prize pool.
THE PROMOTIONAL PERIOD
The promotional period will begin at 07:00 on 25 August 2021 (the “Opening Date”) and will end at 23:59 on 14 September 2021 (the “Closing Date”). All entries received after the Closing Date will be automatically disqualified.
- HOW TO ENTER
a. From NISA instore, or Co-op instore or online purchase a CARLING 10-pack. Please ask the cashier for a receipt and retain.
b. Text CARLING followed by a space, your full name and postcode to 85100.
c. Entrants must have a mobile phone to enter this promotion. Entry is by text only. Entrants must have a mobile phone able to send and receive messages to/from 5-digit short codes. Messages charged at service provider’s standard network rate. Texts may not be included in any text inclusive packages. Users on virtual mobile networks may not be able to text the short code. Please check with your network provider. Text lines are open 24 hours a day until 23:59 on the Closing Date, excluding the opening date whereby text lines will be open from 07:00 onwards. Ask the bill payer before texting. If you text before the Opening Date or after the Closing Date, you will not be entered but you will be charged. Take care when entering the text code; the Promoter is not responsible for mistypes and you may be charged at a higher rate. If you are unable to send a text, please check with your network operator first. For technical issues only, phone 0333 335 3351 between Monday and Friday from 9.30am to 5pm excluding public holidays.
d. Only 1 entry per person throughout the Promotional Period.
e. Only one mobile phone number will be accepted per person. Any entrant using multiple mobile phone numbers to access the promotion will be disqualified and any prize entitlement will be void. The Promoter reserves the right to determine, in its sole and absolute discretion, whether a participant or household has already submitted an entry and to disqualify the original entry and any subsequent entries or Prize entitlement.
f. No third party or bulk entries. Entries via third parties, consumer groups or syndicates, entries by macros or other automated or manual means and entries which do not satisfy the requirements of these Terms and Conditions in full will be disqualified. If it becomes apparent in the reasonable opinion of the Promoter that any entrant or the entrant’s household is using any means to circumvent this condition such as, and without limitation, fraudulently falsifying data, using multiple addresses, using identities other than their own, using multiple mobile phones, sharing receipts, using any other automated means in order to increase that entrant's entries, or otherwise acting dishonestly, fraudulently or otherwise in violation of these terms, such entrant will be disqualified, and any prize entitlement will be void.
g. Proof of purchase will not be accepted as proof of entry. No responsibility can be accepted for entries that are incomplete, lost due to technical reasons, corrupted, delayed or not received for whatsoever reason.
6. WINNER SELECTION
a. There are 25 prizes winners in total. The 25 winners will be drawn by a random computer generator from all eligible entries within 14 days of the closing date.
b. A household can win a maximum of one prize only.
7. THE PRIZES
a. There are 25 prizes of a LG UP77 65inch 4K SMART UHD TV & LG Soundbar SL6Y 3:1 CHANNEL 420W.
b. Prizes are not transferable, and there is no alternative Prize, in whole or part. The Prize must be accepted as offered by the named winners.
c. The Promoter reserves the right to replace a Prize with an alternative of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control makes it necessary to do so.
8. WINNER NOTIFICATION AND PRIZE FULFILMENT
a. The 25 winners will be notified via text message within 14 days of the closing date and asked to email their proof of purchase and proof of address for prize dispatch within 28 days to claim their Prize. Proof of address details provided upon prize claim must match the details submitted in the text message when entering. If a winner does not respond to notification within the first 14 days another text message will be sent. If a winner does not respond within a further 14 days, the prize entitlement will be withdrawn.
b. It is the winner’s responsibility to provide correct, up-to-date details when confirming acceptance in order for their prize claim to be processed. The Promoter cannot be held responsible for a winner failing to supply accurate or complete information which affects prize acceptance or delivery of their prize.
c. Winners will be required to provide proof of purchase and proof of address before the Prize can be arranged. In the event that proof of purchase and/or proof of address cannot be provided, or proof of address does not match details provided at the point of entry, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw prize entitlement and award the prize to a new winner.
d. The Promoter reserves the right to verify all winners including proof of name, age and address and to request ID and to withdraw Prize entitlement where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these terms and conditions.
e. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility in the event a winner is not able to accept their prize.
f. Any unclaimed or withheld prizes will be allocated to alternative winners drawn at the same time as the originals.
g. A third-party agency will contact prize winners within 28 days of claim verification to arrange their Prize.
h. Whilst the Promoter will take all reasonable steps to ensure that its obligations under this clause relating to meeting specific timeframes for Prize notification and Prize fulfilment, the Promoter shall not be liable in any way for its inability to meet these timeframes resulting from an outbreak of Covid-19 either within its own business or within the Prize delivery supply chain. Should Covid-19 affect the Promoter’s ability to meet these deadlines, it will fulfil its obligations under this clause as soon as is reasonably possible after its and/or its third-party fulfilment providers resume business as usual.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter and its agents will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate entrants for any losses that may be incurred as a result of entering the Promotion and the Promoter does not accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of a winner’s acceptance and use of a prize except where such damage or loss is caused by the negligence of the Promoter or its agents.
10. DATA PROTECTION
Any personal data submitted by entrants and prize winners will be processed by a third-party agency for the purposes of the administration of this prize promotion and prize fulfilment only. Data gathered will be controlled by the Co-operative and subject to its rules in relation to further processing. The Promoter will not control or process personal data. The Co-operative privacy notice is available here: coop.co.uk/terms/privacy-notice. By entering the prize promotion, participants consent to their personal data being processed in this way.
a. Promoter’s decision is final and binding in relation to all matters relating to the Promotion. No correspondence will be entered into.
b. By entering this Promotion and entrant agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
c. Instructions provided at the point of entry form part of the Terms and Conditions of this Promotion. In the event of a conflict, these Terms and Conditions take precedence.
d. The Promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to eliminate or disqualify any entries or entrants that it regards as being in breach of these Terms and Conditions or the spirit of the Promotion. Those who try to circumvent the entry process and/or entry instructions by any method, will be disqualified and any prize award will be void.
e. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, amend, withdraw, terminate or temporarily suspend this promotion in the event of any unforeseen circumstances or technical reason outside its reasonable control, with no liability to any entrants or third parties but will use all reasonable endeavours to avoid consumer disappointment.
f. The Promoter takes no responsibility for entries that are delayed, incomplete or lost due to technical reasons or otherwise.
g. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for system errors or other issues that may result in disruption to winner notifications or prizes. The Promoter or its agencies will not be responsible for the non-inclusion of entries, including any such failure which is within the control of The Promoter or its agencies.
h. The surname and county of prize winners will be made available to anyone who requests them by emailing CARLING@coopTTW.co.uk by 14 October 2021. Customers who do not want to appear in the list of prize winners, in the event they win, can opt out by emailing CARLING@coopTTW.co.uk before 14 September 2021.
i. If any clause or provision of these Terms and Conditions is declared by a court to be illegal, invalid or unenforceable, this declaration shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any other clause or provision within
j. Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any dispute concerning them.
k. It is not the intention of the Promoter to use this Prize Draw in any way to encourage excessive consumption of alcohol.
