Full Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. Entry and claim instructions are deemed to form part of the Terms and Conditions. Please retain a copy of these Terms and Conditions for your information.

1. Promoter: Carlsberg Marston’s Brewing Company Limited (reg. no. 00078439) of Marston's House, Brewery Road, Wolverhampton, WV1 4JT (the “Promoter”).

2. Who Can Enter:
a. This prize promotion (the “Promotion”) is open to customers of:

i. participating Co-operative Group Limited (“Co-op”) stores which are displaying the promotional material advertising this Promotion in England and Wales (“Store(s)”); and

ii. Co-op who order online at (“Co-op’s Website”), who are aged 18 years or over at the time of entry and who are resident in England and Wales excluding employees of the Promoter, Co-op, Glastonbury Festival and their immediate families, or any other person professionally connected with the Promotion.

b. This Promotion appears cross media instore and online at Co-operative Group Limited Stores with one shared prize pool.

3. The Promotional Period:
The “Promotional Period” will begin at 07:00 on 17 March 2022 (the “Opening Date”) and will end at 23:59 on 17 May 2022 (the “Closing Date”). All entries must be received before the Closing Date and entries received after the Closing Date will be automatically disqualified.

4. How To Enter:
a. Purchase any pack of Carlsberg Danish Pilsner, Carlsberg Special Brew or Carlsberg Export from a Store or online at Co-op’s Website during the Promotional Period. Please ask the cashier for a receipt and retain that receipt, or retain your e-receipt if you ordered online (each a “Receipt”) as proof of purchase until 14 June 2022.

b. Text GLASTONBURY followed by a space, your full name and postcode to 85100 during the Promotional Period.

c. Entrants must have a mobile phone to enter this Promotion. Entry is by text only. Entrants must have a mobile phone able to send and receive messages to/from 5-digit short codes. Messages charged at service provider’s standard network rate. Texts may not be included in any text inclusive packages or your standard network package. Users on virtual mobile networks may not be able to text the short code. Please check with your network provider before trying to text. Text lines are open from 07:00 on the Opening Date, 24 hours a day until 23:59 on the Closing Date. Ask the bill payer before texting. If you text before 07:00 on the Opening Date or after 23:59 on the Closing Date, you will not be entered but you will be charged. Take care when entering the text code; the Promoter is not responsible for mistypes and your entry may not be counted and you may be charged at a higher rate. d. Only 1 entry per person throughout the Promotional Period.

e. Only one mobile phone number will be accepted per person. Any entrant using multiple mobile phone numbers to access / enter the Promotion will be disqualified and any Prize entitlement will be void. The Promoter reserves the right to determine, in its sole and absolute discretion, whether a participant has already submitted an entry and to disqualify the original entry and any subsequent entries or Prize entitlement.

f. No third party or bulk entries. Entries via third parties, consumer groups or syndicates, entries by macros or other automated or manual means and entries which do not satisfy the requirements of these Terms and Conditions in full will be invalid and disqualified. If it becomes apparent in the reasonable opinion of the Promoter that any entrant or the entrant’s household is using any means to circumvent this condition such as, and without limitation, fraudulently falsifying data, using multiple addresses, using identities other than their own, using multiple mobile phones, using any other automated means in order to increase that entrant's entries, or otherwise acting dishonestly, fraudulently or otherwise in violation of these terms, such entrant will be disqualified, and any Prize entitlement will be void.

g. Proof of purchase will not be accepted as proof of entry. No responsibility can be accepted for entries or Receipts that are incomplete, lost due to technical reasons, corrupted, delayed or not received for whatsoever reason. Proof of sending shall not be deemed to be proof receipt.

5. Winner Selection:
a. There are 6 prize winners in total. The 6 winners will be the first 6 entries drawn by a random computer generator (that produces verifiably random results) from all eligible entries by 27 May 2022.

b. A household can only win a maximum of one Prize.

6. The Prizes:
a. There are 6 prizes in total, each prize consists of 1 pair of ‘standard’ tickets to Glastonbury Festival in Somerset on 22 June 2022 to 26 June 2022 (the ‘Prize’). The Prize permits entry to the Glastonbury Festival site on the aforementioned dates only. All Prizes are standard guest tickets with access to the standard guest area in the festival. Standard overnight camping access is included which includes access to the camp site only and excludes any additional equipment or facilities (including but not limited to tents, sleeping bags and electricity access).

b. The winner and their guest will be required to bring, and carry, valid photographic identification to/at the Glastonbury Festival on the dates stated in Clause 6(a) above to prove they are the designated Prize holders. Any further Prize details will be confirmed when the winner is contacted. Prizes will be posted to winners at the address provided as proof of address (see Clause 7(a)).

c. Prizes are not transferable, and there is no alternative Prize, in whole or part or cash alternative. The Prize must be accepted as offered by the named winners.

d. Use of the Prize is subject to the terms and conditions on the tickets and the regulations in force at the applicable venue. The Prize is subject to the full Glastonbury Festival ticket T&Cs which can be found here. The Prize may not be transferred or resold under any circumstances.

e. Any guest must be 18 years old or over. Winners and their guests must provide a copy of their identification in accordance with Clause 7(a) below to prove they are 18 years old or over before a Prize is awarded. If that identification shows that a winner is under 18 years old or if a winner does not provide valid identification within 5 days of notification that they have won, the Prize will be forfeited and allocated to a reserve winner. If identification provided by a winner’s guest shows that such guest is under 18 years old or if a guest of a winner does not provide valid identification within 5 days of notification to the winner that they have won, the winner will be contacted and will be asked to select an alternative/replacement guest. These Terms and Conditions will apply to any alternative/replacement guest(s) selected. A failure to respond to requests in respect of guests’ identification and/or selecting an alternative/replacement guest (if applicable) or a failure of any or all guests to provide valid identification showing that they are 18 years old or over within the specified timeframes may result in the Prize being forfeited and allocated to a reserve winner.

f. Unless otherwise stated, any expenses incurred by the winners and their guests with regard to travel, accommodation and in the general use and/or enjoyment of the Prize, are the sole responsibility of the winners and guests.

g. The Promoter reserves the right to replace a Prize with an alternative of at least equal value if circumstances makes this necessary.

h. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for cancellation, curtailment or alteration of the event to which the Prizes relate, or transport to or from it, for any reason.

7. Winner Notification and Prize Fulfilment:
a. The 6 winners will be notified via a text message sent to the mobile telephone number used to enter the Promotion by Friday 27 May 2022, and must claim the Prize and email their proof of purchase (Receipt), identification, guest’s identification, and proof of address within 5 days of notification. Name and address details must match the details submitted in the text message when entering. If a winner does not respond to notification within the first 48 hours another text message will be sent and the winner will be called. If a winner does not respond within a further 3 days, the Prize entitlement will be withdrawn, and the Prize will be allocated to a reserve winner.

b. It is the winner’s responsibility to provide correct, up-to-date details when confirming acceptance in order for their Prize claim to be processed. The Promoter cannot be held responsible for a winner failing to supply accurate or complete information which affects Prize acceptance or delivery of their Prize.

c. The Promoter reserves the right to verify all entrants and winners including, in respect of winners, proof of name, age (see Clause 6(e)) and address and to withdraw Prize entitlement and allocate the Prize to a reserve winner where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions. The Promoter may require such information as it considers reasonably necessary for this purpose and a Prize may be withheld until the Promoter is satisfied with the verification.

d. In the event that proof of purchase (a Receipt) or proof of address is not provided within 5 days of notification, or proof of address does not match details provided at the point of entry, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw Prize entitlement and allocate the Prize to a reserve winner.

e. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility in the event a winner (or their guest) is not able to accept or take up their Prize.

f. Any unclaimed, declined, forfeited, withdrawn or withheld Prizes will be allocated to reserve winners drawn at the same time as the originals.

8. Limitation of Liability:
Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter and its agents will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate entrants for any losses that may be incurred as a result of entering the Promotion and the Promoter does not accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of a winner’s acceptance and use of a prize except where such damage or loss is caused by the negligence of the Promoter or its agents.

9. Data Protection:
a. Any personal data submitted by entrants and Prize winners (and their guest(s)) will be processed by Co-op’s agency, Prizeology Limited (reg. no. 10584926) of 820 The Crescent, Colchester Business Park, Colchester, Essex, CO4 9YQ (“Prizeology”) for the purposes of the administration of this prize Promotion and prize fulfilment only.

b. Data gathered will be controlled by Co-op and is subject to Co-op’s rules in relation to further processing.

c. The Promoter will not control, be provided with, receive or process any personal data in connection with this Promotion.

10. General:
a. The Promoter’s decision is final and binding in relation to all matters relating to the Promotion. No correspondence will be entered into.

b. By entering this Promotion the entrant agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Entry into this Promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

c. Instructions provided at the point of entry form part of the Terms and Conditions of this Promotion.

d. The Promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to eliminate or disqualify any entries or entrants that it regards as being in breach of these Terms and Conditions or the spirit of the Promotion. Those who try to circumvent the entry process and/or entry instructions by any method, will be disqualified and any Prize award will be void.

e. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, amend, withdraw, terminate or temporarily suspend this Promotion and / or revise these Terms and Conditions at any time without giving prior notice in the event of any unforeseen circumstances or technical reason outside its reasonable control, with no liability to any entrants or third parties but will use all reasonable endeavours to avoid consumer disappointment. By continuing to take part in the Promotion subsequent to any revision, entrants shall be deemed to have agreed to the amended terms.

f. Whilst the Promoter will take all reasonable steps to ensure that its obligations under Clause 7 relating to meeting specific timeframes for Prize notification and Prize fulfilment, the Promoter shall not be liable in any way for its inability to meet these timeframes resulting from an outbreak of Covid-19 either within its own business or within the Prize delivery supply chain. Should Covid-19 affect the Promoter’s ability to meet these deadlines, it will fulfil its obligations under that Clause as soon as is reasonably possible after its and/or its third-party fulfilment providers resume business as usual.

g. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for system errors or other issues that may result in disruption to winner notifications or Prizes. The Promoter or its agencies will not be responsible for the non-inclusion of entries, including any such failure which is within the control of the Promoter or its agencies.

h. The surname and county of Prize winners will be made available to anyone who requests them by emailing within three months of the Closing Date in line with the Promoter's responsibilities under the UK Code of Non-broadcast Advertising and Direct & Promotional Marketing. Prize winners who do not want to appear in the list of Prize winners, in the event they win, can opt out by emailing before 17 May 2022. However, the Promoter shall provide the surname and county of the winners to competent authorities upon request from such competent authorities (including the Advertising Standards Authority).

i. If any Clause or provision of these Terms and Conditions is declared by a court to be illegal, invalid or unenforceable, this declaration shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any other Clause or provision within.

j. This Promotion (including all issues arising out of it) and these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any dispute concerning them.

k. It is not the intention of the Promoter to use this Promotion in any way to encourage excessive consumption of alcohol.
