Easter game terms and conditions
Entry to this promotion shall constitute your acceptance of these terms and conditions and your agreement to be bound by them. These terms and conditions take effect immediately upon entry to the promotion. These terms and conditions prevail in the event of a conflict or inconsistency with any other communication, including advertising or promotional materials.
PROMOTER: This promotion is operated by Co-operative Group Food Limited, a registered society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014, Registered No 26715R with registered office at 1 Angel Square, Manchester, M60 0AG. References to ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’ in these terms and conditions are references to the Promoter.
OPENING AND CLOSING DATE: This promotion runs from 08:00 18 March 2024 through to 23:59 26 March 2024.
ELIGIBILITY: This promotion is only open to Co-op Group Members and employee members of Co-operative Group Limited who access the Co-op App between the opening and closing date and take part in the Easter game.
HOW TO ENTER: To enter, members must access the Co-op App between the opening and closing date and click the link to continue to the Easter game. Once the game has opened, members will be asked to move a character from left to right, using the arrows on screen to catch five eggs. If a member catches five eggs, they will win a randomised prize, which will be added to their membership card. If a member doesn’t catch five eggs, they will not win a prize. Members can replay the game until a prize is won. Winning is not guaranteed.
PRIZES: Members can play the game over the nine days for the chance to win a free Co-op Fairtrade Milk Chocolate Lolly, a free net of Co-op Fairtrade Solid Milk Chocolate Eggs or 25p, 50p, £1, £2, £5 or £10 off a shop from a Co-operative Group Food Limited store. Prizes will automatically be added to the member’s membership card and can only be used once, are not exchangeable and no cash alternative will be given. Prizes are provided at our discretion, and we may substitute or change the prize for a prize of an equivalent or greater value if circumstances beyond our control make it necessary to do so. We accept no responsibility for prizes that are unused by their expiry date. Prizes are subject to availability.
REDEEMING THE PRIZE: When a member wins, the prize will be added to the member’s membership card and be visible on the ‘On your card’ tab in the Offers section of the Co-op App. Once the prize has been added to a membership card, it will remain valid until 23:59 on 31 March 2024, thereafter the prize will expire.
To redeem the prize, members must scan their membership card at the till in a Co-operative Group Food Limited store as part of a qualifying transaction.
The prize can only be used once.
The prize cannot be used in conjunction with other offers for money off total spend e.g. £1 off £10 or £1 off.
The prize cannot be used in independent societies including Midcounties, Central England, Southern or Chelmsford Star Co-operatives, or in non-Co-op branded stores such as Nisa or Costcutter.
The prize cannot be used on purchases made at shop.coop.co.uk or on first stage baby milk, postage stamps, saving schemes, lottery purchases, gift cards and vouchers, phone cards, in-store concessions, PayPoint, newspaper deliveries, mobile phone top ups, saving stamps, prescription medicines, carrier bags, or cigarettes and tobacco.
The prize is subject to Minimum Unit Pricing (MUP). Where the prize would reduce alcohol below MUP, we reserve the right to revoke the use of the prize on the transaction. If the prize is used in conjunction with any other discounts, the alcohol will only be discounted by whichever reduces the price of the alcohol furthest, without reducing the alcohol below the MUP. Please drink responsibly.
If eligible to do so, members can use a Co-operative Group Limited colleague member card and a Young Scot card in the same transaction.
We only accept the original prize. Although we hope we never need to, we do have the right to stop anyone from using the prize if we suspect that they’ve done something fraudulent or if we think that they’re in breach of these T&Cs or being dishonest.
USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION TO ADMINISTER PROMOTION: By entering this promotion, you agree to us collecting and using your personal data. We, and any third-party agencies acting on our behalf, may collect personal information from you in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and other applicable data privacy laws. Your information will only be used for the purposes of administering this promotion.
DECISIONS OF THE PROMOTER: If there is any dispute about the receipt or validity of any prize or any other aspect of the promotion, this will be decided by us. Our decision regarding any aspect of the promotion is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it. We are not responsible for any third-party acts or omissions. We reserve the right to cancel or amend this promotion due to events or circumstances arising beyond our control.
CANCELLATION OR WITHDRAWAL OF PROMOTION: We reserve the right at our absolute discretion to withdraw or cancel this promotion without prior notice and without liability to any party if it becomes necessary to do so.
DISQUALIFICATION: We reserve the right to withhold the prize and disqualify you from the promotion if we suspect you of failing to comply with these terms and conditions, or of fraud, cheating, or dishonesty.
CHANGES TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS: We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Revised terms and conditions will be available at www.coop.co.uk/terms/eastergame. It is your responsibility to keep up to date with any such changes.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: We exclude all conditions, warranties and representations express or implied by law or otherwise in connection with the prize and the promotion. We shall be under no liability whatsoever or howsoever arising in connection with any loss, damage or injury, directly or indirectly occurring as a result of the provision of, or use of, the prize. We make no attempt to exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury arising as a result of negligence.
RELEVANT LAW: This promotion and these terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England, and you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts if any dispute arises.
GENERAL: The Promoter is not responsible for any third-party acts or omissions. We cannot guarantee that the event will be free from disruptions, failings, or cancellations. We are not liable for such disruptions, failings, or cancellations unless they are caused by our negligence.
