TERMS & CONDITIONS
These Terms and Conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. Entry and claim instructions are deemed to form part of the Terms and Conditions. Please retain a copy for your information.

1. THE PROMOTER

2. WHO CAN ENTER
This prize promotion (the “Promotion”) is open to customers of Co-operative Group Limited Stores in Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) aged 18 years or over at the time of entry excluding employees of the Promoter and their immediate families, the Promoter’s agents, third parties or any other person professionally connected with the Promotion.

3. THE PROMOTIONAL PERIOD
The promotional period will begin at 07:00 1st February 2023 (the “Opening Date”) and will end at 23:59 21st February 2023 (the “Closing Date”). All entries received after the Closing Date will be automatically disqualified.

4. HOW TO ENTER
a. Purchase any Guinness product instore or online at Co-operative Group Limited Stores during the promotional period. Please ask the cashier for a receipt and retain that receipt or retain your e-receipt if you ordered online (each a “Receipt”) as proof of purchase until at least 10th March 2023.

b. Text RUGBY followed by a space, your full name and postcode to 85100.

c. Entrants must have a mobile phone to enter this promotion. Entry is by text only. Entrants must have a mobile phone able to send and receive messages to/from 5-digit short codes. Messages charged at service provider’s standard network rate. Texts may not be included in any text inclusive packages. Users on virtual mobile networks may not be able to text the short code. Please check with your network provider. Text lines are open 24 hours until 23:59 on the Closing Date, excluding the opening date whereby text lines will be open from 07:00 onwards. Ask the bill payer before texting. If you text before the Opening Date or after the Closing Date, you will not be entered but you will be charged. d. Only 1 entry per person throughout the Promotional Period.

e. Only one mobile phone number will be accepted per person. Any entrant using multiple mobile phone numbers to access the promotion will be disqualified and any prize entitlement will be void. The Promoter reserves the right to determine, in its sole and absolute discretion, whether a participant or household has already submitted an entry and to disqualify the original entry and any subsequent entries or Prize entitlement.

f. No third party or bulk entries. Entries via third parties, consumer groups or syndicates, entries by macros or other automated or manual means and entries which do not satisfy the requirements of these Terms and Conditions in full will be disqualified. If it becomes apparent in the reasonable opinion of the Promoter that any entrant or the entrant’s household is using any means to circumvent this condition such as, and without limitation, fraudulently falsifying data, using multiple addresses, using identities other than their own, using multiple mobile phones, sharing receipts, using any other automated means in order to increase that entrant's entries, or otherwise acting dishonestly, fraudulently or otherwise in violation of these terms, such entrant will be disqualified, and any prize entitlement will be void.

g. Proof of purchase will not be accepted as proof of entry. No responsibility can be accepted for entries that are incomplete, lost due to technical reasons, corrupted, delayed or not received for whatsoever reason.

5. WINNER SELECTION
a. There is 1 prize winner in total. The winner will be drawn by a random computer generator from all eligible entries after the closing date and notified on Thursday 23rd February 2023.

6. THE PRIZES
a. There is 1 prize of two standard tickets to see Six Nations Rugby Match England v France at Twickenham Stadium, London at 4:45pm on Saturday 11th March 2023 plus a £250 travel allowance. Seating is as allocated and there is no choice.

b. The winner will need to download the Twickenham Stadium app on their phone to access the 2 x prize tickets digitally.

c. The travel money will be paid by cheque or BACS into a UK bank account one week before the match.

d. Prize is not transferable, and there is no alternative Prize, in whole or part. The Prize must be accepted as offered by the named winners.

e. The Promoter reserves the right to replace a Prize with an alternative of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control makes it necessary to do so.

7. WINNER NOTIFICATION AND PRIZE FULFILMENT
a. The winner will be notified via text message and phone call on Thursday 23rd February 2023 and will have until Tuesday 28th February 2023 to claim their prize and email their proof of purchase, proof of age and address. Name and postcode details must match the details submitted in the text message when entering. If the winner does not respond to notification within the first 3 days another text message will be sent. If the winner does not respond by Tuesday 28th February 2023 the prize entitlement will be withdrawn. Only official documents can be accepted as proof of ID (e.g. passport or driving licence).

b. It is the winner’s responsibility to provide correct, up-to-date details when confirming acceptance in order for their prize claim to be processed. The Promoter cannot be held responsible for the winner failing to supply accurate or complete information which affects prize acceptance or delivery of their prize.

c. Winner will be required to provide proof of purchase and proof of age and address before the Prize can be arranged. In the event that proof of purchase and/or proof of age or address cannot be provided, or proof of name and postcode does not match details provided at the point of entry, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw prize entitlement and award the prize to a new winner where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these terms and conditions.

d. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility in the event the winner is not able to accept their prize.

e. If the prize is unclaimed or withheld, it will be allocated to an alternative winner drawn at the same time as the original. The new winner will be contacted by text message and phone call and will have 5 days to claim their prize and email their proof of purchase, proof of age and address. Name and address details must match the details submitted in the text message when entering.

f. A third-party agency, Umbrella Risk Management Ltd, will contact the prize winner by phone call within 3 days of claim verification to arrange their Prize.

g. Whilst the Promoter will take all reasonable steps to ensure that its obligations under this clause relating to meeting specific timeframes for Prize notification and Prize fulfilment, the Promoter shall not be liable in any way for its inability to meet these timeframes resulting from an outbreak of Covid-19 either within its own business or within the Prize delivery supply chain. Should Covid-19 affect the Promoter’s ability to meet these deadlines, it will fulfil its obligations under this clause as soon as is reasonably possible after its and/or its third-party fulfilment providers resume business as usual.

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter and its agents will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate entrants for any losses that may be incurred as a result of entering the Promotion and the Promoter does not accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of a winner’s acceptance and use of a prize except where such damage or loss is caused by the negligence of the Promoter or its agents.

9. DATA PROTECTION
Any personal data submitted by entrants and the prize winner will be processed by a third-party agency for the purposes of the administration of this prize promotion and prize fulfilment only. Data gathered will be controlled by the Co-operative Group Limited and subject to its rules in relation to further processing. The Promoter will not control or process personal data. By entering the prize promotion, participants consent to their personal data being processed in this way.

10. GENERAL
a. Promoter’s decision is final and binding in relation to all matters relating to the Promotion. No correspondence will be entered into.

b. By entering this Promotion an entrant agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

c. Instructions provided at the point of entry form part of the Terms and Conditions of this Promotion. In the event of a conflict, these Terms and Conditions take precedence.

d. The Promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to eliminate or disqualify any entries or entrants that it regards as being in breach of these Terms and Conditions or the spirit of the Promotion. Those who try to circumvent the entry process and/or entry instructions by any method, will be disqualified and any prize award will be void.

e. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, amend, withdraw, terminate or temporarily suspend this promotion in the event of any unforeseen circumstances or technical reason outside its reasonable control, with no liability to any entrants or third parties but will use all reasonable endeavours to avoid consumer disappointment.

f. The Promoter takes no responsibility for entries that are delayed, incomplete or lost due to technical reasons or otherwise.

g. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for system errors or other issues that may result in disruption to winner notifications or prizes. The Promoter or its agencies will not be responsible for the non-inclusion of entries, including any such failure which is within the control of The Promoter or its agencies.

h. The surname and county of the prize winner will be made available to anyone who requests them by emailing guinness@coopwinners.com by 21st March 2023. Customers who do not want to appear in the list of prize winners, in the event they win, can opt out by emailing guinness@coopwinners.com before 21st February 2023. However, the Promoter shall provide the surname and county of the winner to competent authorities upon request from such competent authorities (including the Advertising Standards Authority).

i. If any clause or provision of these Terms and Conditions is declared by a court to be illegal, invalid or unenforceable, this declaration shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any other clause or provision within

j. Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any dispute concerning them.

k. It is not the intention of the Promoter to use this Prize Draw in any way to encourage excessive consumption of alcohol.
