Entry instructions are deemed to form part of the Terms and Conditions. By entering this promotion all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the Terms and Conditions and to their details being communicated to the Promoter’s representatives so that the Promoter or its representatives can contact the participant in connection with the promotion (as necessary).  Please retain a copy for your information. 

1. PROMOTER: This promotion is operated by Co-operative Group Food Limited, a registered society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014, Registered No 26715R with registered office at 1 Angel Square, Manchester, M60 0AG. References to ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’ in these terms and conditions are references to the Promoter.

2. OPENING AND CLOSING DATE: This promotion runs from 09:01 26 January 2026 and 23:59 01 February 2026 (the “Promotional Period”). Any submissions made before the opening date or after the closing date will not be valid and will not be entered into this promotion.

3. ELIGIBILITY: This promotion is only open to Co-op Group Members and employee members of Co-operative Group Limited only who access the Co-op App during the Promotional Period and take part in the game. UK residents only. Internet access required. Once played, members can also opt in to enter a prize draw by answering a question to enter the “£50 Credit prize draw”. One entry per member. UK residents only. Internet access required. Temporary Membership cardholders are excluded from this promotion. This promotion is not available at independent societies, Midcounties, Central England, Southern or Chelmsford Star co-operatives, some Co-op Live concession stores, Co-op franchise stores or in non-Co-op branded stores (such as Nisa).

4. HOW TO ENTER:

a) To receive their Digital Offer, members must access the Co-op App during the Promotional Period and click the link on the Co-op app Discover tab to continue to the game. Once the game has opened, Members will be asked to pop the bubbles with the laser to score 100 points for a guaranteed Digital Offer as detailed in clause 5 (The Digital Offer) or click to automatically reveal their Digital Offer. Members will only receive one digital offer during the Promotional Period.

b) To enter the £50 Credit prize draw: Once members complete the game, they can also opt in to enter the £50 Credit prize draw by answering a question on member benefits.  

5. THE DIGITAL OFFER: A maximum of 1 Digital Offer will be given to each entrant, which guarantees a digital offer of either 25p, 50p or £1. You must spend at least the value of your offer for your offer to be redeemed (e.g. spend at least £1 to redeem £1 off). The Digital Offer will automatically be added to the member’s membership card/wallet after completing the game and will be redeemed on their next shop in a Co-op Food store. Discount Offer is linked to Co-op Group member’s valid membership card – if a new membership card is received once the Discount Offer has been uploaded to the member’s membership card, the Discount will not be accessible.

Any Digital Offers are non-transferable, are not exchangeable and no cash alternative will be given. Digital Offers are provided at our discretion, and we may substitute or change them for an offer of an equivalent or greater value if circumstances beyond our control make it necessary to do so. We accept no responsibility for any Digital Offers that are unused by their expiry date.

6. REDEEMING THE OFFER: When a member completes the game, the Digital Offer received will be added to the member’s valid Co-op Group membership card and be visible on the ‘On your card’/’Wallet’ tab in the Co-op App. Once the Digital Offer has been added to a membership card, it will remain valid until 23:59 on 08 February 2026, thereafter it will expire.

To redeem the Digital Offer, members must scan their membership card at the till in a Co-operative Group Food store as part of a qualifying transaction.

The Digital Offer can only be used once and cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional offers for money off total spend e.g. £1 off £10 or £1 off.

You cannot spend your Digital Offer with the following retailers, even though they may sell Co-op branded products: independent co-operatives, including Central England, Chelmsford Star, Southern and Midcounties; NISA or; franchise stores; at the Co-op Live arena; any other non-Co-op branded retailers.

The Digital Offer cannot be used on purchases made online, at shop.coop.co.uk, or on delivery partner sites (such as Uber Eats).

We only accept the original Digital Offer. We reserve the right to stop anyone from using the Digital Offer if we suspect that they’ve done something fraudulent or if we think that they’re in breach of these T&Cs or being dishonest.

7. £50 CREDIT PRIZE DRAW - PRIZE: Five winners will be selected randomly to receive a prize of £50 credit onto their Co-op membership Card. Winners will be contacted via their email associated to their Co-op Membership account. The prize will be credited to the Co-op Membership card once confirmed.  

The prize is not exchangeable, and no cash alternative can be requested. The prize is provided at our discretion, and we may substitute or change it for a prize of an equivalent or greater value if circumstances beyond our control make it necessary to do so. 

You cannot spend the prize with the following retailers, even though they may sell Co-op branded products: independent co-operatives, including Central England, Chelmsford Star, Southern and Midcounties; NISA or; franchise stores; at the Co-op Live arena; any other non-Co-op branded retailers.

7.1 WINNER SELECTION:  Following the end of the Promotional Period, the winners will be selected at random from all entries received using a randomised computer generator. The Promoter and its agents will not be responsible for the non-inclusion of entries as a result of technical failures or otherwise, including as such failure which is within the control of the Promoter or its agents. Proof of submission of entry is not proof of receipt of entry. 

7.2 NOTIFICATION: The winner will be notified within 10 working days of the prize draw closing via the email address that was associated with their Co-op Membership account. If any winner declines a prize or fails to acknowledge the winning confirmation email within 5 working days, they forfeit any right to the prize and another winner will be drawn using the same process as detailed at clause 7.1 (Winner Selection) above. The Promoter accepts no responsibility where a member enters incomplete or incorrect information to be held on the member record. 

7.3 WINNER LIST: The winner’s Surname and respective county of residence can be obtained by sending an email to joinin@coop.co.uk within 28 days after the closing date of the promotion. By entering, winners consent to such information being disclosed upon request. You have the right to ask that we stop any consent-based processing of your personal data after you withdraw that consent. 

8. DECISIONS OF THE PROMOTER: If there is any dispute about the receipt or validity of any digital offeror any other aspect of the promotion, this will be decided by us. Our decision regarding any aspect of the promotion is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it. We are not responsible for any third-party acts or omissions. We reserve the right to cancel or amend this promotion due to events or circumstances arising beyond our control.

9. AGREEMENT TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Entry to this promotion shall constitute your acceptance of these terms and conditions and your agreement to be bound by them. These terms and conditions take effect immediately upon entry to the promotion. These terms and conditions prevail in the event of a conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials.

10. DISQUALIFICATION: We reserve the right to reject any entry, withhold any Digital Offer and disqualify you from the promotion if we reasonably suspect you of failing to comply with these terms and conditions or of fraud, cheating or dishonesty, without limitation, through the manipulation of codes, multiple computer-generated submissions, or otherwise fraudulently falsifying data or acting fraudulently or dishonestly in the Promoter’s opinion. Submissions must be made personally. Submissions made through agents/third-parties, bulk submissions or automated submissions are invalid. 

11. NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR SUBMISSIONS NOT RECEIVED: The Promoter accepts no responsibility for lost, damaged, incomplete, illegible or delayed submissions and such attempts will be void. The Promoter cannot guarantee uninterrupted or secure access to the game. We accept no responsibility for any submissions not successfully received by us, or which are delayed, due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network, or server failure of any kind whether or not such failure is within the control of the Promoter or its agents. Proof of playing the game is not proof of receipt of entry.

12. USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION TO ADMINISTER PROMOTION: By entering this promotion, you agree to us collecting and using your personal data. We, and any third party agencies acting on our behalf, may collect personal information from you in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and other applicable data privacy laws. 13. CANCELLATION OR WITHDRAWAL OF PROMOTION: We reserve the right at our absolute discretion to withdraw or cancel this promotion without prior notice and without liability to any party if it becomes necessary to do so.

14. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS: We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Revised terms and conditions will be available at coop.co.uk/terms/januarygame2026 It is your responsibility to keep up to date with any such changes.

15. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: We exclude all conditions, warranties and representations expressed or implied by law or otherwise in connection with the Digital Offer and the promotion, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We shall be under no liability whatsoever or howsoever arising in connection with any loss, damage or injury, directly or indirectly occurring as a result of the provision of, or use of, the Digital Offer. We make no attempt to exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury arising as a result of negligence.

16. RELEVANT LAW: This promotion and these terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England, and you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts if any dispute arises. 

17. GENERAL: The Promoter is not responsible for any third-party acts or omissions. We cannot guarantee that the event will be free from disruptions, failings, or cancellations.  We are not liable for such disruptions, failings, or cancellations unless they are caused by our negligence.
