Spin to save terms and conditions
Entry instructions are deemed to form part of the Terms and Conditions. By entering this promotion all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the Terms and Conditions and to their details being communicated to the Promoter’s representatives so that the Promoter or its representatives can contact the participant in connection with the promotion (as necessary). Please retain a copy for your information.
PROMOTER: This promotion is operated by Co-operative Group Food Limited, a registered society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014, Registered No 26715R with registered office at 1 Angel Square, Manchester, M60 0AG. References to ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’ in these terms and conditions are references to the Promoter.
OPENING AND CLOSING DATE: This promotion runs from 00:01 13 May 2024 through to 23:59 21 May 2024.
ELIGIBILITY: This promotion is only open to Co-op Group Members and employee members of Co-operative Group Limited who access the Co-op App between the opening and closing date and take part in the Spin to Save game.
HOW TO ENTER: To enter, members must access the Co-op App between the opening and closing date and click the link on the Co-op app homepage to continue to the Spin to Save game. Members can only play once during the opening and closing dates. Once the game has opened, members will be asked to spin a digital wheel for a randomly selected guaranteed prize as detailed in clause 5 (Prizes).
PRIZES: Members can play the game once between the opening and closing dates for a guaranteed digital offer for 25p, 50p, £1, £2, £5 or £10 off their next shop in a Co-operative Group Food Limited store. The digital offer will automatically be added to the member’s membership card. Digital offers can only be used once, are not exchangeable and no cash alternative will be given. Prizes are provided at our discretion, and we may substitute or change the prize for a prize of an equivalent or greater value if circumstances beyond our control make it necessary to do so. We accept no responsibility for digital offers that are unused by their expiry date.
REDEEMING THE REWARD: When a member wins, the digital offer won will be added to the member’s membership card and be visible on the ‘On your card’/’Wallet’ tab in the Co-op App. Once the digital offer has been added to a membership card, it will remain valid until 23:59 on 4 June 2024, thereafter the digital offer will expire.
To redeem the digital offer, members must scan their membership card at the till in a Co-operative Group Food Limited store as part of a qualifying transaction.
The digital offer can only be used once.
The digital offer cannot be used in conjunction with other offers for money off total spend e.g. £1 off £10 or £1 off.
You cannot spend your digital offer with the following retailers, even though they may sell Co-op branded products: independent co-operatives, including Central England, Chelmsford Star, Southern and Midcounties; NISA or Costcutter stores; franchise stores; at Co-op Live arena; any other retailers.
The digital offer cannot be used on purchases made at shop.coop.co.uk, on delivery partner sites (such as Uber Eats), or on fuel, first stage baby milk, postage stamps, saving schemes, lottery purchases, gift cards and vouchers, phone cards, in-store concessions, PayPoint, newspaper deliveries, mobile phone top ups, saving stamps, prescription medicines, carrier bags, or cigarettes and tobacco.
The digital offer is subject to Minimum Unit Pricing (MUP). Where the digital offer would reduce alcohol below MUP, we reserve the right to revoke the use of the digital offer on the transaction. If the digital offer is used in conjunction with any other discounts, the alcohol will only be discounted by whichever reduces the price of the alcohol furthest, without reducing the alcohol below the MUP. Please drink responsibly.
If eligible to do so, members can use a Co-operative Group Limited colleague member card and a Young Scot card in the same transaction.
We only accept the original digital offer. Although we hope we never need to, we do have the right to stop anyone from using the digital offer if we suspect that they’ve done something fraudulent or if we think that they’re in breach of these T&Cs or being dishonest.
DECISIONS OF THE PROMOTER: If there is any dispute about the receipt or validity of any coupon or any other aspect of the promotion, this will be decided by us. Our decision regarding any aspect of the promotion is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it. We are not responsible for any third-party acts or omissions. We reserve the right to cancel or amend this promotion due to events or circumstances arising beyond our control.
AGREEMENT TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Entry to this promotion shall constitute your acceptance of these terms and conditions and your agreement to be bound by them. These terms and conditions take effect immediately upon entry to the promotion. These terms and conditions prevail in the event of a conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials.
DISQUALIFICATION: We reserve the right to reject any entry, withhold any prize and disqualify you from the promotion if we reasonably suspect you of failing to comply with these terms and conditions or of fraud, cheating or dishonesty, without limitation, through the manipulation of codes, multiple computer-generated entries, or otherwise fraudulently falsifying data or acting fraudulently or dishonestly in the Promoter’s opinion. Entries must be made personally. Entries made through agents/third-parties, bulk entries or automated entries are invalid.
USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION TO ADMINISTER PROMOTION: By entering this promotion, you agree to us collecting and using your personal data. We, and any third party agencies acting on our behalf, may collect personal information from you in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and other applicable data privacy laws. CANCELLATION OR WITHDRAWAL OF PROMOTION: We reserve the right at our absolute discretion to withdraw or cancel this promotion without prior notice and without liability to any party if it becomes necessary to do so.
CHANGES TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS: We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Revised terms and conditions will be available at www.coop.co.uk/terms/spintosave. It is your responsibility to keep up to date with any such changes.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: We exclude all conditions, warranties and representations express or implied by law or otherwise in connection with the prize and the promotion. We shall be under no liability whatsoever or howsoever arising in connection with any loss, damage or injury, directly or indirectly occurring as a result of the provision of, or use of, the prize. We make no attempt to exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury arising as a result of negligence.
RELEVANT LAW: This promotion and these terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England, and you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts if any dispute arises.
GENERAL: The Promoter is not responsible for any third-party acts or omissions. We cannot guarantee that the event will be free from disruptions, failings, or cancellations. We are not liable for such disruptions, failings, or cancellations unless they are caused by our negligence.
