Local Community Fund Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Co-op Local Community Fund?

Do I need to be a member to support local causes?

Yes — but membership costs just £1, lasts a lifetime, plus you’ll get that £1 back on your first shop in store when you select your personalised offer. Joining the Co-op gives you access to Member Prices across Co-op products and services, personalised offers, a say in how our Co-op is run, as well as the opportunity to support local causes. By joining, you’re not only saving money — you’re helping fund local projects that help people and communities to thrive.

How do I choose my local cause?

Once you’re a Member, log in to your Co-op account online or in the Co-op App to explore causes near you. You can read about each project, what they do, who they help, and how your support will make a difference. Then pick the one that is close to your heart. Your choice helps shape the future of your community.
