  • 2 Co-op Loved by Us sirloin steaks
  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 1/2 onion, peeled and finely sliced
  • 1 red pepper, deseeded and sliced
  • 125g mushrooms, sliced
  • 75g reduced fat crème fraîche
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tsp coarse grain mustard


  1. Cook the rice just like it says on the pack, then drain
  2. Meanwhile, trim all the fat from the steaks then cut the lean meat into small strips. Set aside
  3. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large frying pan and, over a medium heat, cook the onion, red pepper and mushrooms. Tip into a bowl
  4. Add the rest of the oil to the pan and cook the steak over a high heat until browned on all sides - about 4 minutes
  5. Mix the crème fraîche with the paprika and mustard and season with black pepper
  6. Add to the pan with the vegetables and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring until hot and simmering
  7. Serve with the rice
