  • 1 pear, cored and sliced
  • 500ml Co-op apple juice
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 star anise
  • 4 cloves
  • Zest of 1 clementine, peeled into wide strips with a vegetable peeler
  • 50g Co-op pomegranate seeds


  1. Fill the flask with boiling water to preheat it. Leave for 5 mins, then pour away
  2. Meanwhile, set aside two pear slices to garnish, if you like (see step 7)
  3. Put the apple juice, pear slices, spices and clementine zest into a small saucepan
  4. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-10 mins, until the pear is tender
  5. Remove the spices and zest from the pan. Add the pomegranate seeds
  6. Pour the mulled juice into the flask if you‘re heading out
  7. If serving straight away, divide between two glasses and garnish with the reserved pear slices
