Entry instructions are deemed to form part of the Terms and Conditions. By entering this promotion all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the Terms and Conditions and to their details being communicated to the Promoter’s representatives so that the Promoter or its representatives can contact the participant in connection with the promotion (as necessary). Please retain a copy for your information.

  1. References to ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’ in these terms and conditions are references to the Promoter.

  2. OPENING AND CLOSING DATE: This promotion runs from 00:01 29 July 2024 and 23:59 11 August 2024. Any entries made before the opening date or after the closing date will not be valid and will not be entered into this promotion.

  3. ELIGIBILITY: This promotion is only open to Co-op Group Members and employee members of Co-operative Group Limited who access the Co-op App between the opening and closing date and complete all 4 questions of the ‘Win a £10,000 Holiday’ quiz. UK residents only, 18+. Internet access required.

  4. HOW TO ENTER: To enter, members must access the Co-op App between the opening and closing date and click the link on the Co-op app homepage to continue to the ‘Win a £10,000 Holiday’ quiz. Members can only play once during the opening and closing dates. Once the quiz has opened, members will be asked 4 questions on their dream holiday to be entered into a prize draw to win a £10,000 holiday, further details in clause 5 (prizes).

  5. PRIZES: The prize is 1x bespoke holiday worth up to £10,000 (the ‘Budget’) and single trip insurance via Co-op Travel Insurance with cover up to £250 (the “Travel Insurance”). Conditions apply, including:

    1. The winner will have a maximum budget of £10,000 to spend and this must be used against one holiday only.

    2. Budget can be spent on including, but not exclusive to, the following: flights (either domestic or international), accommodation, airport transfers and local excursions or tours.

    3. The Budget or Travel Insurance may not be taken in cash or Travellers Cheques, either in full or in part.

    4. The holiday must be booked via our fulfilment partner, The Marketing Lounge Partnership (“MLP”), The Cow Shed, Walnut Tree Farm, Lower Stretton, Cheshire, WA4 4PG. Further details concerning this will be sent to the notified winner.

    5. MLP will act on behalf of Travel Counsellors of Venus, No.1 Old Park Lane, Trafford City, Manchester, M41 7HA (the “3rd Party Booking Partner”). Winner’s details will be shared with the 3rd Party Booking Partner for booking once holiday itinerary has been reviewed and chosen by the winner.

    6. Travel Insurance must be booked by the winner with Co-op Travel Insurance. MLP will reimburse the cost of this, up to a maximum of £250. If travel insurance for the holiday totals more than £250, the winner will have to pay the difference.

    7. The Budget and Travel Insurance will be valid for travel until 31st December 2025, and there are no exclusion dates apply (subject to availability and government guidelines) so winners will have flexibility to travel at any time. Travel must have been booked and completed by this date. h) Prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable and no cash alternative will be offered. No change will be given if the value of the holiday booked totals less than the full £10,000.

    8. Some locations will require visas or inoculations. It is the winner’s responsibility to obtain these directly and ensure they have all the necessary and relevant visas (if applicable) to travel to the chosen destination. This may be subject to additional cost.

    9. Winner must ensure their passport is valid for at least six months beyond the date of planned departure from the destination country. Please note, rules may vary depending on the country you are travelling to, we advise you to check the rules before booking. All passports and visas requirements are the sole responsibility of the winner.

      10. Prizes are provided at our discretion and the Promoter may substitute or change the prize for a prize of an equivalent or greater value if the circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control make it necessary to do so.

  6. PRIZE DRAW: 1 winner will be drawn on 15th August 2024 using a randomised computer process.

  7. WINNERS LIST: Winner’s name and respective county of residence can be made available upon request by emailing Co-opAppGames@coop.co.uk with the subject title ‘Travel Insurance Game Winners List’ within twenty-eight (28) days of the date of the winner selection. By entering, winner’s consent to such information being disclosed upon request. You have the right to ask that we stop any consent-based processing of your personal data after you withdraw that consent.

  8. NOTIFICATION: The winner will receive a phone call in the week commencing 19 August 2024 from Co-op. This phone call will be recorded and shared in line with the terms at clause 14. The winner will then be sent a follow up email to confirm their prize from Co-opAppGames@coop.co.uk. The phone number and email used to notify the winner will be from the details linked to their membership card number. If the winner does not respond to the phone call to confirm their prize, a voicemail will be left and the winner must respond to email correspondence from Co-op, within fourteen (14) days of the email being sent, to confirm acceptance of the prize. Another two (2) attempts will be made to contact the winner via phone within this fourteen (14) day period. If no confirmation is received, the prize will be forfeited, and another winner will be selected at random for the eligible received entries.

    If the winner does not have a phone number linked to their membership card, the winner will be contacted solely via email. A total of 3 emails will be sent to the winner during the fourteen (14) day period. The winner must respond to the email correspondence, within fourteen (14) days of the first email being sent, to confirm acceptance of the prize.

    Once the winner has confirmed acceptance via email or phone to the Co-op, the winner’s details will be securely sent to our fulfilment partner, MLP, who will then contact the winner firstly via phone (from the number 01565 831 816), and then via email, to create and book a bespoke holiday package to the maximum budget of £10,000. The winner must respond to correspondence from MLP, within twenty-one (21) days of the email being sent. If no email confirmation is received, the prize will be forfeited, and another winner will be selected at random for the eligible received entries. The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

    We accept no responsibility for prizes that are lost, stolen or unused by their expiry date. We accept no responsibility where incomplete or incorrect information has been entered as part of a member’s details. If you do not win the prize draw, you will not receive an email or phone call from us or MLP.

  9. DECISIONS OF THE PROMOTER: If there is any dispute about the receipt or validity of any coupon or any other aspect of the promotion, this will be decided by us. Our decision regarding any aspect of the promotion is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it. We are not responsible for any third-party acts or omissions. We reserve the right to cancel or amend this promotion due to events or circumstances arising beyond our control. The Promoter is not responsible for any third-party acts or omissions.

  10. AGREEMENT TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Entry to this promotion shall constitute your acceptance of these terms and conditions and your agreement to be bound by them. These terms and conditions take effect immediately upon entry to the promotion. These terms and conditions prevail in the event of a conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials.

  11. DISQUALIFICATION: We reserve the right to reject any entry, withhold any prize and disqualify you from the promotion if we reasonably suspect you of failing to comply with these terms and conditions or of fraud, cheating or dishonesty, without limitation, through the manipulation of codes, multiple computer-generated entries, or otherwise fraudulently falsifying data or acting fraudulently or dishonestly in the Promoter’s opinion. Entries must be made personally. Entries made through agents/third-parties, bulk entries or automated entries are invalid.

  12. NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ENTRIES NOT RECEIVED: The Promoter accepts no responsibility for lost, damaged, incomplete, illegible or delayed entries and such entries will be void. The Promoter cannot guarantee uninterrupted or secure access to the entry route. We accept no responsibility for entries not successfully received by us, or which are delayed, due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network, or server failure of any kind whether or not such failure is within the control of the Promotor or its agents. Proof of submission of entry is not proof of receipt of entry.

  13. USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION TO ADMINISTER PROMOTION: By entering this promotion, you agree to us collecting and using your personal data. We, and any third party agencies acting on our behalf, may collect personal information from you in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and other applicable data privacy laws.   14. USE OF PERSONAL AND OTHER INFORMATION FOR PROMOTIONAL PURPOSES: By entering this promotion, you agree that if you win, we, other members of the Co-operative Group Limited and third party agencies acting on our behalf, may use your entry, name, photo or image, county of residence, any testimonial you have provided to us, and recorded phone call for promotional purposes (including on our websites, social media, within our magazines or within promotional emails).   15. CANCELLATION OR WITHDRAWAL OF PROMOTION: We reserve the right at our absolute discretion to withdraw or cancel this promotion without prior notice and without liability to any party if it becomes necessary to do so.

  17. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: All conditions, warranties and representations expressed or implied by law or otherwise in connection with the prize and the promotion are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law and the Promoter shall be under no liability whatsoever or howsoever arising in connection with any loss, damage or injury, directly or indirectly occurring as a result of the provision of, or use of, the prize. We make no attempt to exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury arising as a result of negligence.

  18. RELEVANT LAW: This promotion and these terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England, and you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts if any dispute arises.

  19. GENERAL: The Promoter is not responsible for any third-party acts or omissions. We cannot guarantee that the event will be free from disruptions, failings, or cancellations. We are not liable for such disruptions, failings, or cancellations unless they are caused by our negligence.
