Ingredients
- 500ml unsweetened almond drink (or any non-dairy drink of choice)
- 2 tbsp chopped or sliced almonds
- 1 tbsp chopped pistachios
- 3 tbsp Co-op clear honey
- ½ tsp ground cardamom
- Pinch saffron
- Ice cubes, to serve
- Dried rose petals, to decorate (optional)
Method
- Heat the almond drink in a saucepan on a low heat until it starts to boil, then add the rest of the ingredients except the ice cubes and rose petals, if using
- Simmer for around 10 mins
- Leave to cool, then chill fully in the fridge
- When ready to serve, place a few ice cubes into each glass, pour over the badaam doodh, and decorate with dried rose petals, if you like
- If you prefer just to use almonds, simply omit the pistachios and use 3 tbsp almonds instead
