Ingredients

  • 400g pack Co-op Irresistible Cumberland sausages
  • 1 tbsp chipotle paste
  • 375g pack Co-op ready rolled puff pastry
  • 1 Co-op British free range egg, beaten
  • Smoked paprika or chilli flakes, to decorate

Method

  1. Squeeze the sausages out of their skins and place in a bowl
  2. Add the chipotle paste into the sausagemeat and mix until well combined
  3. Unroll the puff pastry and cut in half lengthways
  4. Divide the sausagemeat in half and form each half into a sausage shape down one long side of each pastry strip
  5. Brush the opposite edge with the beaten egg, then roll up the sausagemeat in the pastry, leaving the join underneath
  6. Cut each roll into 10 pieces and leave to chill for 30 mins
  7. Preheat the oven to 200°C/fan 180°C/gas 6
  8. Arrange the sausage rolls on two baking trays, brush with the beaten egg and sprinkle with the smoked paprika or chilli flakes
  9. Bake for 15-20 mins, until golden
