These pitta pockets might be messy, but they're worth it

Ingredients
- 250g Co-op Irresistible Hereford beef mince
- 1 onion, peeled and chopped
- 1 clove garlic, peeled and crushed
- 1 green pepper, deseeded and diced
- 1 tsp mustard powder
- 3 tbsp tomato ketchup
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tomato, diced
- 2 Co-op wholemeal pitta breads
- To serve
- 2 tbsp pickled red cabbage
- 2 gherkins, sliced (optional)
Method
- Heat a non-stick frying pan and dry fry the mince until it’s evenly browned
- Add the onion, garlic, diced pepper, mustard powder, ketchup and Worcestershire sauce and stir well
- Add 150ml water, bring to the boil, cover and simmer for 30 mins
- Add the diced tomato and cook for a further 10 mins
- Warm the pitta breads and cut them in half
- Divide the mince between each pitta and top with a dollop of pickled red cabbage and some gherkins, if you like
